  1. So, if im understanding right, the wilwood upgrade is more so for brake feel and response than more braking power in general?
  2. Newbie question here, can you elaborate on what RR stands for? Is that these people https://www.rr-racing.com/ ? 6 pot looks awesome....wonder by how much that would throw off bias. On a related note: any sort of brake bias calculations with just a wilwood 4pot front upgrade and stock LGT rears? Trying to see what pad combo would give me the best balance so as to no throw off things by too much. Maybe wilwood bp10s on front but not sure on rear (aggressive street use/daily driver). If someone knows, this would save me from spending hundreds more in a matching sti brembo kit . Saw this thread which was super helpful https://legacygt.com/forums/showthread.php/bbk-brake-bias-list-30088.html but obviously limited.
  3. oooo. thanks! keep me posted on the rears! thanks!
  4. Does anyone know the length of stock LGT lines both front and back? I suppose i can take that measurement and measure my stock OB ones and see the difference. Planning some BBK upgrades for my OBXT and since im not lowered all that much, wanted to get proper length stainless lines specific to outback height. I dont think, from my reading, that they make anything for stock height outbacks and most people are using LGT lines. therefore probably looking to get something custom made. If no one knows, last ditch effort would be to pay a junk yard to ship me some. thanks!
  5. has a few scratches. got this as an extra from a seller that was selling it pictured with a cobb engraved logo but came without logo. The one i personally installed had a logo. This one was new, never installed. $55shipped/paypaled. note: i have one of these for my outbackXT and it DOES NOT fit obxts without major modifications as i thought LGTs were the same as OBXTs. Apparently not in this area of the car I also have hella horns on my car and this also wont fit without modifications (depending on your placement of horns) where that air scoop is on the left of the shroud in the first pic. OEM snorkel also doesnt clip on as well. I had to remove the rubber "washers" on the oem snorkel and really press down the push clips to get it to clip in. This may be the case for LGTs although i have zero experience mounting these to LGTs.
  6. only in pics. was only comparing wilwoods to brembos and not stock. i would assume wilwoods look much less beefy than brembos.
  7. thanks! obtained what i needed. thanks all!
  8. maybe holding on this project right now
  9. resurrecting this thread as looks like theres some more talk about it with the most recent one that was sold https://legacygt.com/forums/showthread.php/swpa-wilwood-superlites-front-calipers-and-pads-bolt-285889.html?highlight=wilwood Just wanted to get all information here in one place. This thread has been gold.
  10. FYI, we probably should bring the discussion back to https://legacygt.com/forums/showthread.php/wilwood-4-pot-caliper-kit-134462.html. ill make a reference there to this sale thread.
  11. Does anyone have one of these for sale? Its standard option the silver/darker gray one with the pink sti logo on the right side (if you are looking into the engine bay from the front). thanks!
  12. if you find measurements for stock LGT front calipers, id be curious to know too if you can post publically here. That would probably help alot in determining just how much larger the wilwoods are over stock since wilwood lists specs on their own site. Im guessing its not by much. Brembos you can tell are much larger by a significant amount. If you see wilwoods pistons and the metal around it, brembos have larger pistons AND have way more metal on the caliper surrounding it AND larger rotor i think. Wilwoods almost look like they are anorexic
  13. Pmd back. keep sending me what you have people if you are getting rid of some. thanks!
  14. gonna blame you for a lighter wallet now hahaha. But yes, just a daily driver here also and looking for best bang for buck. Also allows me more wheel options too it seems. Id love brembos though but i priced it out and its around $1200 more expensive than a wilwood + LGT rear setup considering sti brembos have shot up in price over the months. Gone are the days where you can regularly pick up a full set of gold brembos for under $700.
  15. this thread got me on that wilwood bandwagon and off the brembo bandwagon. wish i would have hopped on this sooner!
  16. Entertaining the idea of swapping my outback rear brakes to LGT rear brakes. let me know what you have. prefer mileage less than 80k if possible and never tracked. Calipers mostly but may take your rotors too. thank you. let me know what you have. bonus if you have a wilwood setup to get rid of for the front =)
  17. had airbags replaced twice AND sticky dash replaced. ZERO rattles and still 100% factory fitment Thanks SOA. Sorry to those who experience otherwise but my experiences has always been 100 with them.
  18. makes sense. seems like from what im reading, stock is also 4ohm.
  19. im very cautious now after my friends wrx was failed for having a AOS (his only mod anywhere on the car) which is 100% legal here. Some places are very cautious in how they pass/fail i assume
  20. IT WORKED. THANK YOU. as far as i know and can hear, it seemed to bring the system back to par with stock. Definitely more bassy and volume levels can be cranked to about 25-30 on my HU whereas before it was around 7-10. I guess those low level RCA input made all the difference. I also did read somewhere that the sub doesnt have a true sub connection but instead just takes the low levels of the regular outputs which makes sense why boosting volume will boost bass. Maybe ill still go ahead with a speaker upgrade regardless lol. I assume even with better speakers ill get even clearer "better" bass even w/o a sub upgrade. if anyone has speaker suggestions, im all ears
  21. bolt on? no tune needed since it likely changes airflow? I couldnt find any definitive info. i was looking at this the other day just to see if i could get more woosh sounds but alas smog checks here in CA may axe that option for me unless i hide it.
  22. will try it this weekend if i get a breather from life. Hate to take my console apart again but gotta do what i gotta do haha.
  23. i wonder if you @blackobxt are right about the low level inputs. The more i think of it, the more ive been driving these past few days and tinkering, the more i think it could be a factor as currently i can only set my Sony HU to about 7 before it gets too loud for me. This is a far cry from the max volume level. I think my steps right now is to: 1. cut my harness and resolder RCA heads and go directly into the rca outs on my deck 2. then depending on how #1 affects sound...maybe upgrade the 2x tweeters and 4x door speakers 3. then depending on how #2 goes, figure out what to do with the sub. i like my car to be as buttoned up as it can be as if it came that way from the factory and this stereo stuff bothers me knowing it could be way better haha.
