  1. Cleaned up after a spell on stands in the garage. http://legacygt.com/forums/picture.php?albumid=2752&pictureid=12765
  2. Finally squirmed the car out of the garage, gave it a serious flogging up and down the mountain, and washed the pollen off of it. http://legacygt.com/forums/picture.php?albumid=2752&pictureid=12764 http://legacygt.com/forums/picture.php?albumid=2752&pictureid=12766
  3. Last night I put the front wheels up on ramps to check if the Kartboy front end links (stock front sb) I installed were straight under load. They were not. Had the spacers and threw them on, et voila! Straight, though the bushings are a tad kinked. Was looking forward to driving it but our contractor dumped multiple hundreds of pounds of sand and bricks in my driveway. He promised it’ll be gone in two days once his mason starts, but as of this morning he couldn’t find his mason. So yeah, frustrated. Cool in the mountains this weekend and the twistys are calling...
  4. The only acknowledgement I’ve received recently was a slammed 4th gen who pulled up next to me as I exited my LGT after parking. For whatever reason the driver did a massive throttle-whoosh with their BOV. Loud AF. Annoyed my family. Don’t think it was for any reason other than being a tool. Would have remembered that car from any earlier interactions. Will def remember it now. And not in a good way.
  5. Bought a Primitive front skid plate. Messing around with the OEM plastic covers this weekend made me appreciate: 1) how much abuse they take 2) how torn up they are, including missing bolts or torn tabs 3) how badly I need to pay more attention to what I’m driving over
  6. Installed Perrin 3” turbo inlet hose at lunch. Doing the Kartboy front end links this afternoon during a conference call and then putting the front end back on, with the declaration that I’m done under the car for a while at least (I started revisiting that even before I finished typing the sentence). Humble, bring it in whatever form works for you, but I’ll gladly read one comprehensive post.
  7. If you 4-wheel drift into a corner, could get hit just before the deposit hits the ground. But the spatter pattern would be more radial so that’s probably not how this defacement occurred.
  8. I’m almost done with my backlog of mod installations. Told myself that was it for a while. Now, of course, that’s moot as the bank account is plussed up and will still have time on my hands for a bit. And that global auto parts sector isn’t going to stimulate itself...um...never mind. Carbon fiber.
  9. Not sure about how dealers worked where you lived most recently, but it’s a wide spectrum from honest to dishonest here in the US. Absolutely verify their claims as to the cause and their fix, and have an independent qualified mechanic do a pre-purchase inspection. Even with your current transportation limitations, there are other cars if this one might have the potential to be a money pit and leave you without a reliable daily driver. Of course, I bought my used 2010 Legacy from a dealer 3 states away over the internet, so my credibility is suspect.
  10. If Teddy was around the corner rather than in T&T I'd go see him to fab up a custom round-to-oval-to-round charge pipe.
  11. Finished installing the Cusco rear side member braces after buying a steel dowell to keep the LCA aligned for the new bolt. After that worked, was able to tighten the brace against the frame to keep it in place, which eased the trial and error to get the second bolt into the squirrelly nut bracket. While I was messing with the LCAs I replaced the stock end links with the beefier Kartboys. Next up is front end links and shifter stop and bushing.
  12. Subbed. Interested in a viable upgrade to oem charge pipe that fits well, even with some added work.
  13. If that’s the case, tell your leggy that it’s only going to hurt for a second, then pull the wheel straight out as hard as you can and let it snap back into place. This non-professional medical advice brought to you by the University of Scranton Rugby Club.
  14. Grimmspeed TMIC (made for 2015+ WRX). Got the coated version; GS advised the uncoated is out of stock and timing for resuming builds and shipping is uncertain but could be 4-6 weeks. Should be the last piece for the time being and then I can take a break for a while and just drive. Will add some fender washers to ensure clearance underneath. I am operating based on review of posted experiences here that there are currently no good options (other than shroud-rubbing AVO) for an upgraded charge pipe, but I'd love to be corrected on that.
  15. Was going to make a Canadian mullet joke but was overwhelmed by the redundancy. Sorry Scooby Fan and the rest of our northern crew. Can’t help myself.
  16. 18 lbs? Nice and light. I like their Chicane but it’s heavier by a few lbs. Looking fwd to pics.
  17. Concur, the 245 is going to be more squared off than the 235. Also, Scooby Guy's front yard looks like a putting green.
  18. You were going to have to address that IC-TB hose sleeve lameness anyway, so not a wasted effort.
  19. Yes please. I will shamelessly benefit from your work, as I have from everyone else on this forum.
  20. I like. I wanted the similar Rota Gravel and Mach V was sold out, all the way up the chain to the factory, and they hadn’t come out with the Crucial yet so I went with the Enkei 10-spoke. Do you know who makes the wheel for them?
  21. Or PPD? Philly temporarily took my ride away in 87 for reckless down on Front St. But of course that was all just a big misunderstanding.
