  1. Ordered a starter today finally. Planning on taking the car to my friends shop later this week so they can see where I am at with everything and help me map out a plan to get it running.
  2. Ashburn is it man. Im six miles from IAD, 26 miles to DC. We have some of the best schools in the country. Taxes here aren't all that bad considering. I also used to live in SoCal, and while ive found the cost of living to be pretty similar, I have to say VA is much much cleaner, newer and just overall a nicer quality of life.
  3. Bro move to Loudoun County! What type of place are you looking for?
  4. Ok, here is where I'm at now. I trimmed one of the legs of the silicone 90 about as far as I could It definitely helped a bit, but the intake manifold still crushes it maybe 15%. If I rotate the 90 clockwise a little it helps, but it of course turns the 90 the wrong direction. I used a piece of PVC to test fit. Thoughts on all of this?
  5. Bolted the new manifold on. The two inner bolts on each side were too short, gotta get some longer ones, thanks Mike! Here are some photos. I am going to sit down later and print out the pages with vacuum hose diagram etc and figure out where everything goes. Blue plug goes where? What is missing here on the throttle body?
  6. Not far from me, Im about at the corner of Route 15 & Route 50 in Aldie. Let me know if you need anything!
  7. Who drives the super clean white wagon with “bp5STI” on the plate? I see you often we must live very close to each other.
  8. My friends shop here in VA has two or three jdm fronts for legacy’s. I’m not sure what exactly he has, I’ll ask tomorrow when he’s there.
  9. The only advice I have is take your time. None of the removal is difficult but if you bend the headliner too much in certain spots it will crease. Just drop it down and remove out of the rear hatch.
  10. Alright people, mark my words, this is the last intake manifold I am buying for this motor. If this one doesnt show up Im turning the Legacy into a pedal car.
  11. My downpipe came yesterday. I was going to install today but had to put a starter in my wife's car. Womp.
  12. Ive been trying to get all the little stuff taken care of, using this piece of the manual as a reference: According to the picture above the cooling fan plug should be F21 (circled in red,) but this looks like the correct plug and is located on the right side of the harness, which I circled in green. I do not know where in the manual to find out which color wire is what. All I really know is I have two wires coming off my fans, and this connector has three. Could someone assist? I put this on the shock tower today. Going to run power to the sensors this weekend, then bundle up everything I need to run to the ecu... and run it there.
  13. Found and purchased an ej20g intake manifold complete with harness. My friend got some film developed and shared these with me:
  14. Also picked up my radiator, had the fan shroud cut and flush mounted to save a little space. Radiator is still too tall, oh well.
  15. I just finished putting on connectors for ground, and ran all four power wires to the connector I cut off of the coil pack, so I can plug it right into my cars harness:
  16. For future generations of thread diggers. Im swapping out the 20k intake manifold for a 20g manifold. Again decided against standalone, so I am wiring the turbo sensors that my car didnt original come equipped with since it was non turbo. Adding them to the pins for the 20g ecu that I have just picked up.
  17. Harness completed for COP conversion. Still need to put ends on the ground wires, I didnt have the right size ones. Also need to figure out if I should connect the four power wires to one 12v source, or make some sort of relay setup.
  18. That is the visual representation of the importance of prep work hahahaha
