  1. Driveshaft question? does ours float or click into the transmission?I have like a 1/2" between clicking in. it is fully engage and the vehicle moves on it's one. I thought it was an issue with my spec b driveshaft compared to Outback drop collar.
  2. Slightly higher ride height and they act like stiffer springs. I'm trying to lower my outback only 1" -1.25" without spending $2500 and improving contro and also leaving more clearance for my tire choice.. Might do a modified koni setup instead though i haven't fully decided yet.
  3. Right now i'm on 04 KYB's come tax time it's Blisteins with outback springs. 6spd is so nice. unfortunately I'm so use to the sound at 3500rpms with the 6 I'm hovering 90-95 mph. 82mph is 3krpms I need to get use to it quick.
  4. Update Perrin Transmission mount and pitch added Torque rear end bushings Grimmspeed MBC brace Hawk HPS+ front pads 07 spec B 6spd and R180 http://imagizer.imageshack.us/v2/1280x1024q90/834/uxr6c.jpg http://imagizer.imageshack.us/v2/1280x1024q90/850/lb8u.jpg http://imagizer.imageshack.us/v2/1280x1024q90/822/ibx6.jpg
  5. The pissing match needs to end it's not about JDM vs USDM. It's the built it differently in japan and the rest of the world. so technically it's STI vs SOA version STI. The EJ207 motors are proven to have hold boost better and rev higher. No they don't get as much torque. The Electronics and sensors are 16 bit instead of 32. The EJ255/257 make more torque but they blow ring lands like it's their job. If you can't add information to the thread don't add your self to it. Thank you to every one that posted information. ACVS can be disabled on the exhuast side or you have to convert to the EJ207 wiring harness and ecu. i believe the V7 is single acvs. the Version 7 is also the sweet spot to many for piston strength
  6. I'm planning to do this as well the ej207 v7's are cheap and can handle power a lot better than the ej255's and 257's and breaking open a 2.5l for a set of cossies seems like a can of worms from all the disaster stories.
  7. Sorry thanks. Can i steal the one off my 5spd or do i need to order the six speed one.
  8. Need to know what sensor is broken in lower right conner of this picture. thanks. http://imageshack.com/a/img835/6254/c1l7.jpg
  9. wider wheels shouldn't be an issue with proper offset. they may lose the 3/8th of an inch but it's definitely worth it.
  10. The average 6spd swap comes with hubs axles and everything so the rear arms are the big hold back. Our cars don't have the speedo on the trans it's through the abs system/wheel reluctors. So that is something that will need to be looked into as well it would be awesome if all we need is to have the rears machined. Junkyards have plenty of legacy rear arms. If you where closer I would test for you.
  11. So if we purchase a spec b rear arm you could machine them. the front Knuckles i do not believe are direct bolt on due to the sti having a wider strut mounting point? For a complete conversion i think parts would have to be included. I think around $400 for the rear knuckles to be converted. Most people would want to source their own axles etc. Also the other question is does this affect the abs system on our cars. I thought of doing the same thing but I'm not a machinist. I only have a little engineering in my back ground plus no sti parts to play with. Thanks for the info.
  12. Well do you think you can do a step by step for us and sell the adapters for us six speed people.
  13. Went and visited PMP. Picked up this. http://imageshack.com/a/img835/6254/c1l7.jpg
  14. I wanted a FMIC but looking at this. I hope it fits the outbacks without the fitment issues.
  15. The 07 is a bolt in just like the 08-09 model. the 07 model was a different final drive ratio i believe 3.54 and the 08-09 where 3.9. Pulled from nasioc
  16. Getting my spec-B 6spd within the month.
  17. I'm running 255's but i'm also an outback. 17x8et35 with 255/50R17's
  18. Yeah they suck I'm coming from recaro's in a redline
  19. Update added perrin front endlinks and got rid of the stop tech brake pads. the Stoptech pads do not like call they dust bad and i managed to glaze them. http://imageshack.com/a/img534/5118/pn37.jpg http://imagizer.imageshack.us/v2/1280x1024q90/706/p4mg.jpghttp://imagizer.imageshack.us/v2/1280x1024q90/845/0gdd.jpg
