  1. Yes STI catback will work, I have one on my car. Long story short, engine will work.
  2. bump $280 shipped. need to pay for something ridiculous I just bought.
  3. Ok boys, I did that crazy thing I said I was going to do in another thread and picked up this wrecked 2011 STI for parts. I got the whole thing for less than the cost of the engine so I really couldn't lose on this one. The plan is to absorb most of this into my 05 Legacy GT. These are the parts I will be keeping: -Full longblock with all accessories (at least until I sort out what to move over) -6 speed transmission *this I may actually end up selling to buy a different year 6 speed swap as it seems this is not the best candidate* -Front and back red stitch alcantara seats -Front and rear brembo brake setup -Steering rack -Steering wheel and roll connector -ECU and wiring harnesses in case I need them to make things work properly -Console lid Everything else I will be parting out and selling and will probably make a few thousand $$ even while keeping those parts. Can anyone think of anything else I should keep off of this car that can be made to work in the Legacy?
  4. Depends what car you have. 05/06 are different than 07-09 for gas pedal assemblies.
  5. I would expect not. I tried to put a USDM Obxt grill on a USDM 05 bumper a long time ago and there were gaps
  6. Madrig and Gearjamr, I will be posted back to that area this summer. Wagon meet!
  7. Ok last one. JDM heated/folding mirror switch that includes the leveling motor hookup for headlights. This one includes the wiring harness pigtails which means you can easily run your own wires to the headlight motors. Might keep this for myself if no one else wants it. $50usd shipped in Canada/USA untracked. Add $10 if you want tracking.
  8. More clearing out of random items. I have a set of 2006 Legacy GT headlights WITHOUT harnesses. These lights are perfectly functional but I stole the harnesses to wire up my custom headlights when I did my JDM front end conversion. Lenses are good but could use a cleaning. Highbeam bulbs are not included. They are closed but could use a better reseal. Looking for $100 + shipping or best offer. I also have a set of OEM paint-matched mudflaps. These are JDM so they're probably 36J vs 37J but since they're mudflaps you won't see a difference. Also they're a bit scratched up but do the job nicely. Hard to find these. I ran them for a while but decided to change to spats to match the fronts. $75 + shipping obo.
  9. Got a set of these cool JDM STI lateral links I acquired last year and never used. I decided I don't need them and am passing them on. Bushings and arms appear to be in excellent condition. Here are a couple of threads about them: https://legacygt.com/forums/showthread.php/jdm-sti-lateral-link-set-md-260995.html https://legacygt.com/forums/showthread.php/installed-sti-lateral-link-set-8580.html Let's say $300usd shipped anywhere in USA/Canada.
  10. All of the threads on here with people talking about swapping to an EJ257 are met with a "too expensive/ need too much stuff" etc type answer. Here is a different take on the question. I just found a totalled 2011 STI at an auction near me that sustained a rear end collision. The engine and trans are untouched. The car can actually still drive. The reserve price is really low and I put in a bid. If I happen to win this thing I intend to essentially absorb everything possible from this entire car into my LGT. With that said, I will have access to everything and this could easily turn into both an epic build or more than I can chew. I need input from people with more experience in this field. Main concerns: -Can this entire long block with all of its accessories work on my 05? From what I gather I'll need to swap my ECU to the STI one to make the dual AVCS work. If I'm swapping the ECU I guess I'm going to run into immobilizer issues unless I swap that system too? I guess I'd even have to sell my accessport and buy a SUB-003 vs my current SUB-002. -Does the 6 speed need to go in at the same time as the 257 or can I do them one at a time? Mainly asking this because I need to do more research on the 6 speed swap to make sure all the stuff is compatible. -Is there some combination of EJ257 longblock parts I could scavenge onto my EJ255 that would allow me to get the most benefit while reselling the remainder at the highest price? I would ideally love to just bolt the new engine in whole and sell the old one whole but if I have to mix and match I don't want to waste anything. Also before anyone asks, the only reason I'm even considering this is because essentially at my current bid it'd be like buying a 257 long block and getting a free STI everything (6 speed trans, brembos, suspension parts, wheels, STI seats and interior among other things) that I can sell or transplant. My current motor is fine and my car drives great but the kms are always ticking up and I was planning on moving on to power gains soon anyway. I wouldn't mind having a backup powertrain sitting in my garage, but only if it's actually capable of functioning properly in my car. Input appreciated.
  11. If you are facelift USDM it is an easy mod to make it fit.If you're pre-facelift it won't work.
  12. Thanks - yeah I initially tried grinding the USDM socket down and it did fit into the hole but mine wasn't as snug as I'd like or something felt a bit off with it, can't remember what. In the end I just decided to cut the USDM connector off and splice the JDM one on, this car isn't going back to stock anyway lol.
  13. Got an extra set of taillights that are in excellent condition. I have a video on youtube that shows how to install them and these ones come with the JDM harness for you to splice on for an easier install. $175 shipped in USA or Canada.
  14. This is a set of the rare Bilstein struts and springs that come stock on the limited edition TBSTI models in Japan. This is a wagon set I imported myself for lots of $$$. It was listed as having 50k kms on it and I added about 1000kms myself. There are no leaks or issues and they ran fine. They're comfortable and handle great if you're looking for a good DD suspension but I want something more aggressive since this is not my primary vehicle. I decided to remove them about 2 weeks ago and return to stock for the winter in anticipation of going with coilovers next spring. The drop is minimal at about 0.5" all around. Will include some unused saggy butt spacers + hardware if I can find them in my garage.. Shipping will be about $100 to USA and $50 to Canada. Looking for $650+shipping obo. On my car:
  15. ... what's common knowledge is that the USDM facelift bumper does not work with the JDM facelift bumper without the fenders and headlights. I'm trying to save you some $$ since you're showing an 05 in your sig. This is what I'm referring to and I'm willing to bet most people haven't contemplated putting the JDM facelift bumper on the non-facelift USDM model without a whole front clip: If you already have a USDM facelift front then you're out of luck unless you do the whole conversion.
  16. Bolted up to the frame surprisingly easily, just needed the JDM "meat" to put on the bones but everything can be done without any cutting or serious modification
  17. Dunno about the facelift one but you can actually install the JDM facelift spec B bumper on the non-facelift USDM legacy without changing the lights or fenders if you cut a tab on the headlight area... BL5BO did this check him out on YouTube
