  1. the ECU does lose learned values, and takes a few miles to relearn and relearn idle, the tcu however does not relearn everytime the battery is d/c.
  2. when the battery is disconnected the tcu does not lose it's learned memory 2. fact. you have to do that through SSM and then do a relearn procedure. battery disconnect might clear memory 1, but definitely not 2. if you have a tranny banging issue, resetting learned 2 can help reduce this but if it eventually comes back, you've got an internal tranny problem
  3. You dont remove the manifold you hold it up while swapping the gaskets
  4. moral of the story: never install a tune that was custom tuned for a different car, even if its the same stage level. you'd be much better off starting with a base map from mickeyd or something and working your way up.
  5. soooo....it's tuned to someone elses car?
  6. the dyno dynamics has a way of filtering out tc lockup it seems (look at mine)...... and it's not through smoothing either...must be through the software
  7. It does. Bren and I disabled boost control to taper throttle at around 5900 in order to prepare for a stock tranny shift.... once the vb comes we will change this to not taper and continue building power as this turbo with its 8cm can do. I don't even let it shift at this point, i just let off, shift and get back on it because i know the consequences
  8. holy shit batman those wheels aren't cheap! http://www.carid.com/iss-wheels/fm-10-93864.html
  9. not surprising for an ap map. the load range is 1.3-1.6g/r so it's not in high load range, if it were os tuned i'd probably pull a degree in that area and see if it clears up.... if it continues that it could be noise
  10. I only peaked like 340wtq but that was at 4500rpm. My car was strapped on the dyno so tight the bc's were compressed almost to bumpstop in the rear. Lol. http://i1135.photobucket.com/albums/m636/MotiveHero/0fd72cc6.jpg
  11. http://www.fredbeansparts.com/index.php/subaru-intake-manifold-to-tumbler-valve-gaskets-1.html Note the part #
  12. Hey maaaan hold out for hexmods. I just dynoed my stock 5eat with a 20g and it was fine. Just lay off the wot shifting. Im holding out till its avail
  13. The intake manifold. (the biggest black thing in the engine bay). They sit on red o-rings between the tgv's and can leak sometimes.
  14. I watch the gtr's hot lap on the dyno while shifting and i drool. Of coirse the vb mod will not make up for the lack of a double clutch
  15. Lol i cant wait to feel it bang from gear to gear. Id love to see a car on the dyno run throught the gears in D
  16. Just install the downpipe and rear 02 (yes you need the 02) and flash. The cobb maps are pretty conservative and run a tad rich up top simply because the maps are basic since its not catered to your car. The ap maps are not designed for aftermarket intake usage. If you do you run the risk of running lean which is almost a certainty with an injen. Do not put it on, keep the stock intake its fine even up to a 20g sized turbo. The ecu makes fueling adjustments in closed loop cruising/light accel but when wot its all what the map says, no real adjustments in open loop. What the map says is how itll run.
  17. this will not fix slipping. if your tranny is already slipping it needs to be rebuilt first and foremost.
  18. for whatever reason the gmail photo section no longer allows hosting! wtf
