  1. Give IPT a call - the main guy there (his name escapes me) took a good 30 minutes out of his day to answer some questions I had about the 5EAT in my 2008. He seemed very knowledgeable and was happy to share some ideas/thoughts on what I could do to bolster my tranny when it decides to shit the bed (things like upgraded TC, cryo'd gears and symptoms to look out for with a failing center diff). He put my mind at ease with future issues and I'm likely going to go with them when my 5EAT starts dying. I'm assuming you already do but in case not - definitely run a tranny cooler. Even better, run it with a 180° thermostat (Derale 13011 works great).
  2. Car has been completed and dyno tuned! Results attached below. 257WHP 297WTQ Video:
  3. All - since proflashrtist is no longer a Subaru owner and hasn't been on in a while, I figure I'll post this. Spoke with shwabo from over at the Tribeca forums. Our '06-09 Legacy navigation systems are identical to the Tribeca's from '06-14. He has 7 interested members for a group-buy of the V11 nav discs from the Tribeca forum. If we can get 5 total interested people here (including myself) we can get V11 for $20 a piece. The more people committed, the cheaper the price for everyone else. Let me know if you're interested with a reply to this thread and we can get something coordinated between both forums.
  4. proflashrtist's first post on this thread has a link to the V10 downloads for East and West. These navigation files only apply to the following Subaru vehicles, though: Legacy/Outback 2006-2009 & Tribeca 2006-2014 If you have an '11 you're looking for V9 of a different type of disc. This explains why Subaro11 is having problems. The nav files are not intended for those years. You're looking for part#: 01406VX473
  5. Are you saying you downloaded the V10 I'm hosting or V11 from somewhere else?
  6. If it is allowed I'd gladly go over there and post that we're doing the same thing. I bet we'd get more than enough people that way. However, I am unable to register to any of their sites. Something appears to be broken with their "Registration" link.
  7. Adding a Derale #13011 thermostat into the mix while the engine is out. Should help maintain auto-trans temps better in the cold months. God I miss this car.
  8. I was impressed there was virtually no slippage between gear changes with spirited driving for over 10K miles with the VF52 setup. I can't comment on the older autos but the 08s are great autos to me. Shifts were firm and seemingly quick up until the engine failure. Now, that may all come crashing down in the next 10-20K miles but I'm still pleasantly surprised this tranny has lasted 100K miles while pushing added power for 40K of them.
  9. Thanks! 08s come with top-feeds stock. That was one of the changes from pre-facelift to the newer BL/BPs so no conversion is necessary. TGVs are being done simply because the engine is out. I was on the fence about the injector upgrade but decided to just do it for ease of tuning and raising the ceiling so to speak. I already have an added cooler for the 5EAT and unfortunately there are no VB upgrades for us AT owners with 07+ LGTs
  10. It will be tuned for 93 octane. I'm a little nervous to make the jump to E85 considering the 5EAT. Some say it'll hold the power while others advise against it. Good news is if I want to make the jump I'm just a tune away.

  12. Add me to the list of people who saved hundreds finding this thread (along with BarManBean's thread). Had PS fluid slowly leaking from somewhere, showing up on top of the PS pump. Tried the o-ring fix and it has stopped. With 8.5" wheels it made a noticeable improvement - thank you!
  13. If I had to do it again, I'd get the aluminum LCAs and install the bushings myself/have a small shop press them in for cheap then install the arms myself. I decided to get the Whiteline bushings (inner & outer) and have a Subaru shop press them in to my original arms. The cost of labor was about the same as getting the aluminum arms & Whiteline bushings. In hindsight it makes sense to get a new set of aluminum arms & Whitelines and do it yourself. That being said, after 95K miles on the oem bushings the new bushings were a welcome improvement - the car corners much more predictably & takes potholes like a champ.
  14. Is this along the lines of "keeping the torque at shift-points down" (per BrenTuning during my e-tune) or more in-depth than that?
  15. About 9K miles on the VF52 (~97K on the car) with 18psi tuned target. AP says I'm hitting that target, too. Tranny is holding just fine through all 5 gears - no slippage even with aggressive shifts/throttle on highway merging. Driveline mods include cooler, Rallitek soft insert/new tranny mount & WL rear diff inserts. I wish there was more that could be done to speed up/bolster our 08/09 5EATs.
  16. I've already got the roll-center kit from Whiteline installed on the stock LCAs (ball joints & tie-rods). Will the Whiteline ball-joints fit out of the box or will I need this part like the Spec.B LCA guys do? http://www.ebay.com/itm/381911661977
  17. 87K on my '08 5EAT. 10k or so at OTS Stage 2 and no slippage. Hoping to get custom Stage 2 done soon. Big difference between OTS and custom? (Plan to use BrenTuning)
  18. Image showing East/West coverage is attached for everyone's reference. (Not sure why it rotates once I attach it...)
  19. Yes, this is for the stock Subaru nav. The East/West overlap slightly. I believe the East DVD goes from the Atlantic to Illinois while the West DVD goes from the Pacific out to about Ohio. I can take a picture of the map once I get a chance this weekend and upload it to show how each DVD covers the nation for everyone's reference.
  20. Being these are large files there is a simple way to make sure you downloaded them correctly. You can use WinMD5Free (download HERE) to run a CheckSum on the iso. Below are the values you should have if you run that program. Simply select the downloaded iso and give it a few seconds to calculate the value. This ensures your download is done properly without any errors. East: 78904ae72369af38676060b31028175a West: 1e2e196a002f88818c58de1d3ab40998
  21. Okay, links are below. Proflashrtist should be putting the links on his cover page as well. V10 West - Here V10 East - Here Donations are appreciated Here
  22. Update - time stamps on the files are from 9/14.
  23. Data should be uploaded soon - just waiting on the goods. All relevant links will be put up by proflashrtist.
  24. Okay that seems like enough support and I'm sure more will come once the links are up. Here's a question, considering V10 came out in August of last year (and these seem to be yearly updates) would it be worth waiting a month or two for V11 to drop?
