  1. It sucks when you just have to sit there are think about what could be getting done to the car while it is in your yard. Luckily both of the cars I need are in two different areas so I don't sit and think about it. The '95 that I have sat for 2 1/2 years and finally about 2 weeks ago I got a key made for it and started it up and drove it.
  2. I'm at 122,864 right now. Put on about 1,500 miles in the last month.
  3. rshaw123, as long as it works it is fine. My dad and I are going to be swapping some engines pretty soon. I was hoping for this week but he just bought a 2010 SLP575 Camaro so all of the plans for that have been put on hold until him and my mom go to New York and come back with the car. I'm getting really tired of waiting and waiting for something to get done on the cars..
  4. ^ That is a different combo... Less miles on the body than the engine and tranny.
  5. My Papa's car. 2009 Outback with 28,3XX miles. He lets me take it for a day or two every once in a while.
  6. Working on getting a Subaru Outback with an unknown amount of mines. It has a blown engine. It is a 1998 and it is blue. That is about all I know right now. The guy is going to send me some pictures tonight then I might get it tomorrow. I finally might be able to get that engine out of my wrecked Legacy and put it to good use!
  7. I would be surprised if you got any less than 50k out of that car. I think you could squeeze another 100k out of it.. With proper care of course! Found a car that has exactly all the same specs I have listed at the top of the 13th page the other day. Except the low mileage part.. It has 230,000 miles on it!
  8. Welcome to the Subaru world! If you take car of that car it will last you another 200,000 miles, you will most likely have the headgasket issue but besides that not much else if you maintain it. I'm jealous of the fact that lots of you have clean titles, that helps resale value a lot! I have a salvage title.
  9. WeatherWarrior, I would look into what Kaz says.. I get 22-24 city and 26-28 highway. In the snow I get about 15-19. Your number should be much higher than they are right now.
  10. If I found a white 1999 LGT Limited w/gold package w/5 speed and low/lower mileage I would pay $5,500 completely stock.
  11. Yeah that price is BS, I would never pay over $5,500 for a second gen Legacy. My car almost has 120K now.
  12. I got my LGT 3 years ago with 100K and I thought that was pretty good! I found an Outback that I want.. It is a 1998 with 68K for $6,500
  13. quader, did you get a new engine or is that actual mileage? If that is actual mileage than that is a pretty rare find.
  14. Shut up Zues... I don't have enough time to do all that fancy changing the seats and center consol stuff lol
  15. Kaz, just take this link! It is only $12 lol http://www.subaruparts.com/catalog/?section=32
  16. So I was just on www.subaruparts.com and I found everything I wanted for my car! I ordered a bug shield, rear cupholder, moon roof deflector, and a cargo net for the truck! It cost about $177 shipped. I'm pretty happy!
  17. Kaz, I'm working on getting a low mileage one put in. Obviously I can't pay for a brand new one because I'm only 17 and I don't have $2,500. Usually a lower mileage used one that works fine runs about $700 or $800 installed. I'm just waiting for the guy to call me back about if he found one then I can make the appt. c_w_j, I'm pretty content with my gas mileage. I got just over 23 mpg my last tank of gas. I can't complain at all because my mom has a Yukon XL and my dad has a huge truck so no matter what I'm always the persont that gets the best gas mileage in my family :]
  18. Yeah Kaz, you need a 2.5 in that thing! I'm going to schedule an appointment at the dealership today for a new tranny! I can't wait to ditch the one that is in my car right now. 20,000 miles of rough shifts is getting old.
  19. Wow this thread was brought back to life! I'm at 118,9XX currently.
  20. My parents will murder me if I don't go to college. Plus, I want to love comfortably.. I want to make between $50,000 and $100,000 a year. Bad news, the Jetta was sold today.. My parents are happy about that because they knew I was going to try to buy it. The only reason I wanted the Jetta was for commuting because I don't want my headgaskets to go while I'm 60 miles away from home. There is still time to find another one though.. Plus I just like the fact it has turbo I found a really nice black one in Auburn, WA. It is really nice for $7,100.
  21. Yeah but it is a 5 speed and that would be more fun than my auto! My dad works at a dealership so all the cars in my family that need work get major discounts =)
  22. Haha I respect everyone that has served for our country but I just don't see myself doing that.
  23. I like the car as is. The rims are my favorite part! It is kind of a chick car but they are really cool looking. Reverse is really weird in the car, I don't even know how to drive a stick but I am more than willing to learn. It has tinted windows with a strip across the top of the windshield. It just had the timing belt, water pump, and front rotters.. That is all I know of but Scott said that the PO rattled off a ton of stuff they had just done to the car. I want to buy it but my parents won't buy it for me. I was wanting them to buy it and then I would make payments to them. My parents said I should just save that money for college instead of spending it on the car. But even if worse came to worse I could probably sell the car and come out ahead because the car normally sells for $6,900.
