  1. Now take good care of her and keep an eye on AFR learned values, etc.. on your AP.
  2. Change it yourself and save some cash. It's not hard at all (assuming no bolt seizing problem).
  3. I HATE when a bolt is seized or break. Last week, it literally took me 45 minutes to replace a front wheel bearing. 5 years ago, it took me a whole day. Why? Because a freakin caliper bracket bolt was seized and broke. So much fuuun That's why I put TONS of anti-seize everywhere. And that's why it took 45 minutes last week to change the wheel bearing!
  4. Was your plan to change the balljoint too or just the cv axle? Cause if it was the latter only, then you don't need to touch it.
  5. This is what I have on my car. Why don't you get that one? Only thing I do not like about this design is that you lose departure angle. The European design is better IMO. Edit: I just checked my emails to see when and how much I paid for this: it was back in 2018. I paid, wait for it, 125$ shipped!! Now, it is 220$ on the link I provided to you. What the heck..
  6. Hang on a second here: are you saying that the NA dash is different than a GT/XT dash?
  7. 1 1/4 or 2 inch? Where are you btw? Edit: ah, East coast looks like..
  8. The thing is, I have a feeling that the 'new' dash are just the same as the old ones that are failing. IOW, the problem may show up later again.
  9. I mean, the dash itself is fine (the hard plastic shell). It's that soft thin layer on top of it that is falling apart. If there was a way to easily remove that crap, and 'respray' a new layer, then we'd be good.
  10. Yeah. I have a brand new dash in my attic since 2018 . I planned to install it this winter, but I need to find the motivation for it..
  11. It's crazy that some folks have it worse than others. I have a neighbor who has an 05 NA outback. Always been in the sun, no sun visor. Dash is just fine . While both of mine have been garaged for 10 years, and now they're cracked and sticky. pfff. To give more context though, I believe my neighbor's outback has lived its whole life in the dry desert, while both of mine have been on the East coast for a while, some other cold regions of the world and now in a dry environment. Mine became sticky before moving in a dry environment.
  12. That's still a lot of money... I think there are some Crosstrek with manual trans no? Edit: looks like 2023 was the last year to get an MT for the crosstrek
  13. I should report that it's been more than 1k miles of driving now and the engine is running just fine.
  14. mmh. I need to look into it. If there is a way to break down this green crap without removing the heater core, I am all for it!
  15. Do like me: I have a lowered OBXT on STI pinks and Bilsteins for them corners , and then for longer trips I have the slightly raised 05 OBXT on a BTS kit with a JMP VF52, GS intercooler, thicker RSB, whiteline camber/toe rear kit, bla bla bla... Not too bad.
  16. I have a brand new heater core ready to get installed. But I've been lazy to pull the dash..
  17. Freak. Your wagon looks really really good. Man, I love these rims on it.
  18. mmmh. I should probably do that. We drive a lot on dusty dirt roads and stuff and dust is found everywhere inside the small side compartments of the trunk. Maybe the flap vents are not doing their job very well anymore.
  19. I don't own an AP, but you may be able to check this parameter list and see what variables your AP can view.
  20. I don't know. I am always starring at BtSsm when I drive and my long term fuel trims are very close to zero. They've remained quite consistent since I fixed the wires.
