having had both the EZ30R and the EZ36R, the EZ36R with a manual would definitely have been better than the 2.5GT stock for stock. the EZ30 in stock power output form was not torquey enough for the cars they put them in. the EZ30R/manual combo would be a phenomenal powertrain for something like a high trim BRZ.

If you are on OE type springs/struts, then doing performance bushings all around for other suspension arms wont increase NVH that much but will make the car much tighter and more responsive. do the full whiteline treatment. both front LCA bushings, KTA124 arms in the rear, the main rear trailing arm bushing, and the rear upper control arm bushings. all of this will probably last the rest of the life of the car. you can also do it the lazy way by buying replacement control arms from rockauto.com which comes with all the bushings and just swap all your old arms out. Aside from the rear trailing arm, you can replace every control arm in the car for under $450 in parts if you just want OEM replacements

glad this swap worked out. Since this is still a split case like the 5mt, its not as power limited as it is torque limited. the 5mt could hold power, but was terrible if there was excess torque shock from launches, slam shifting, or pulls in OD gears. If they make blast plates for this trans, that would be a worthwhile investment for people making over 400tq, or for those who like to launch the car.
