  1. Sticky dash. At one time it was covered under a recall. Once it starts there is no stopping it.
  2. Great info in here. My mod path was focused on significantly different goals so I don’t have anything to contribute that our resident experts haven’t already covered.
  3. Same! Mine has been on a battery tender since the last week of October. It had a fresh wash but now it’s a layer of dust. Sounds like a perfect reason to take her for a rip then another fresh wash.
  4. Where did you get that trunk emblem? Would go great with my other CF
  5. Neat. You’ve amassed some pretty unique and rare parts. I applaud the effort.
  6. My brembo upgrade is purely a vanity mod. I’ve tracked the car on nothing but good pads and fluid without issue. I’m just running out of shit to upgrade.
  7. See guys. This is the advice and influence that I need from the enablers on this forum. I already own everything to do all four corners. Just need to get them out for PC. Since I’m already opening up the system I guess I should just do the MC/booster and be done with it. Otherwise I’ll be left longing for that firm firm pedal….cut to dream sequence…
  8. IMO it’s not worth it to go HID anymore. LED tech has come a long way. No external ballasts or relays to go bad, they’re cheaper, no messy wiring to hide away, and run cooler I haven’t had many issues with my retro quick setup but it’s been enough to turn me off. They’re headlights. They should always work, every time. LED is a simpler answer than HID to the same questioN. MY F150 has factory LED headlights and they’re as good, if not better, than my LGTs HID. I agree. nice forrester.
  9. I e run the “retro-quick” setup from TheRetrofit Source for 10 years or so and they are good but also comes at the cost of additional wiring, ballast, and opening headlights to install the shields and lenses. It’s a good setup with great output but requires mounting and hiding all that bs. If I had the option to do it again I would go to a modern led setup.
  10. You don’t need a 5x114.5 hubs to utilize an sti 6mt.
  11. https://www.prismaticpowders.com/shop/powder-coating-colors/PMB-6909/illusion-smurf?gad_source=1&gclid=CjwKCAiA-vOsBhAAEiwAIWR0TR1jEg1THGoo888TD0vP2nYahs6j_0nUiBw4tisZQgNSAKHDMYoUrBoC8D4QAvD_BwE its probably a bit cliche but I’m leaning towards this wrb clone with white brembo logo. All my couplers under the hood are blue. Brakes will be the only thing on the exterior that isn’t white or real carbon fiber. I think it’ll look good behind the hyper silver enkei wheels and add a subtle hint of Subaru WRC lineage to the car.
  12. I had to time-sert all four calipers because they were stripped. . Ordered powder swatches today. I have new everything for the caliper rebuild along with dba rotors and project mu pads. Looking forward to one of the last upgrades I want for the lgt. I’ve said it a few times since 2009, but I really am just about finished with mods. Not much left to upgrade after this!
  13. Are you still using the stock MC or upgraded sti unit? I don’t plan on changing mine. Just doing caliper/rotors/pads.
  14. Thx Booze. I’m ordering powder samples today. Excited to get them refinished and installed.
  15. Brembo folks, do oem-spec LGT lines work with gold brembos? Front and rear.
  16. The shop that tuned my car had a long jumper with clips to run battery direct to fuel pump. They needed it in the wrx that was tuned before my car. The guys was happy they were able to tune the car and send him home to do the wiring upgrade without wasting everyone’s day and rescheduling due to low voltage.
  17. I have a dw wiring kit sitting in my garage if you want it. Box is opened but never installed.
  18. Since this thread is already on topic, why go split-case 6mt?
