Yeah that's the thread I knew I saw just couldn't search for it at work. Overall I'm pretty happy with the spacing between the gears on the spec.B 6spd. My ultimate transmission would be 07 STi with spec.B 5th and 6th. However I have no real reason to spend that kind of money when I have a Miata that will be cheaper and more fun on the kind of drives that would really benefit from those changes.

I was under the impression that the spec.B 6spd has the same 1-4 of the current STI with longer 5th and 6th.

If you have a STi 6 speed yes you can add the DCCD Pro just by wiring it in, but the spec.B 6 speed does not have the diff in the transmission, you would need to install the one SBT posted.

Adding the STI diffs is something I've always wanted to do with my spec.B. Gives you the nicest spread of gear ratios and great grip.

That looks great I'd like to paint mine blue or something like that, but right now I just need to get the car sorted out. I got a temporary operating permit today and actually drove it around. It is by far the slowest car I've owned but still stupid fun

The throttle body and the intake cross over tube. I had to cut the fan shrouds quite a bit to get the intake tube to fit.

Discovering the 1.8 swap intake setup is a giant cluster f***. Apparently no one really tells you that when you are shopping for parts.... At this point I'm really just wishing I'd found a decent running 1.6 so I could at least drive it. Bought it in Feb and still haven't gotten to drive it

A trunk lid is carry on sized right?

Which Techron? IIRC there are 2-3 versions you can buy. The Techron Concentrate is the one I've always been advised to get.

Eibach doesn't make them any more so to find a set of branded Eibach springs you'll have find a used set or get lucky with new old stock.

Well the 1.8L was dropped off at home today and I already swapped the timing kit and plugs. I'm going to have to source an exhaust manifold and figure out what clutch and flywheel I want to go with since I have both to choose from. I'm going to get the injector harness moved tomorrow night and then see what else I can figure out.... I'm really hoping I can sneak this one by the smog guys lol.
