  1. I actually drove mine for the first time in weeks lol
  2. yeah but your shorty console and dash look great. Mine has AC half the time but then the compressor kicks off and stays off for 5 minutes. I have to cycle the button to get it to work again. I really need to pull the motor, replace a bunch of oil seals, the clutch and motor mounts. I probably also need replace the diff bushings. My transmission likes to stick in reverse on occasion and the exhaust is getting ready blow out the welds on the muffler.
  3. I wish my car was half as nice as yours is:redface:
  4. My current plan is to drive down Thursday afternoon, do the Friday track day, hang out at the track Saturday till about 2-3 and drive home. We may end up staying a extra day though.
  5. I figured if you were coming from AZ I had better make the 4 hour drive
  6. Hotel reservations made and registered for the track day on the Friday before Miatas @ MRLS.
  7. I have polished the lenses a few times. I'm a big fan of wet sanding, and polishing. If they are bad I start with 800ish grit then move to 1000 and finish with 2000 grit. Then I use a plastic polish like Plastix. Next time I plan to put on some clear Lamin-x covers on to help keep them clearer longer. Once the new house is finished I'll be able to park it inside so they shouldn't take as much abuse. Modern autos are truly amazing. The tow haul modes on them really work wonders, they are smarter and faster.
  8. Took it to cars and coffee in Folsom and then drove home via the canyon and back roads. Trip as a whole took me all the way around Folsom Lake.
  9. Threw some LED headlight bulbs in this week... They're a little more blue than I'd like but still looks great! IMG_20170818_201734 by christobal65, on Flickr Also got a picture with the Exploder behind it. IMG_20170818_201845 by christobal65, on Flickr
  10. Sparkplug extraction is cheaper than ring replacement
  11. Speaking of my Ford... http://legacygt.com/forums/showthread.php/07-explorer-255101.html?p=5673027#post5673027
  12. It's a Dodge that's how Looks great, and congrats! I agree with you new truck prices are insane!
  13. He has seat covers, but told me the drivers seat leather was cracked. Otherwise it seemed to be in decent condition nothing was cracked or broken, just needed a good cleaning.
  14. I went and looked at it and i'm kinda torn. The body is in better shape than my car but the paint is pretty faded and rough. It has a canvas top which doesn't currently leak, but is going to need replacement in a year or 2. Mechanically it felt and looked to be in great condition. It feels much more solid than my 01. The engine and transmission have less grittiness. The shorter gears of the 6spd makes it feel quicker than it really is. Shift quality is pretty similar, and who knows what the condition of the boots and bushings is. I don't know what to do. I was really hoping it'd be either a clear walk away or buy it now! My wife seems to think it's a decently good idea if I can get it cheap enough.
  15. My plan would be to remove the roll hoop and wheels from the black 01 I have and install them on the 04. Then I'd probably buy the Feal coils from Goodwin Racing. I'd like to put a 3.90 torsen in place of the exploding 4.10 fuji unit in the 04. Around here 03-05 cars typically go for 5500-7000 depending on miles and options. MSM cars you'd actually want to own start at 9k. For this car if it's as clean as the guy I've been texting is claiming it might be a good choice. Obviously the closer I can get it to 4k the happier I'd be.
  16. Found an 04 6spd car priced decently, $5000, it has 150k on it but pictures look like it's pretty clean. Pros would be the better chassis stiffening, brakes and less abuse than what my 01 suffered. Cons are the 6spd + the 4.10 diff makes for really short gearing. Higher mileage than what I currently have and I'd have to install another roll bar
  17. Yeah that's what I have too. I'm on stock NB2 sways and they are definitely too soft for track work, but border line uncomfortable on the street. Then again I think the dampening is way too low on them.
  18. Do you have the track or street springs on your V-Maxx coilovers?
  19. At the moment I'm on the Flyin Miata V-Maxx alignment, but I'm going to eventually go with the 949 Racing Dual Duty alignment. I need to replace the outer tie rod ends before I have the alignment done again. I'm not too worried about what I did to the alignment on the car since I lifted it by about a half inch which just means I took some camber out of it.
  20. Adjusted the ride height today, I forgot how big a pain in the ass that was. Car went up in the air like 5-6 times today I'm currently sitting at about 4 15/16" front and 5" rear at the pinch welds.
  21. Well I finally got off my ass and replaced both front wheel bearings. They really didn't seem that bad but you could see where the grease had burned and worked its way out.
