  1. I haven't cloned the chips yet, I have a key buried deep in the car for remote start so I may just sacrifice the OEM keys for the chip depending on the price. I also have a 2 way pager alarm so the fobs haven't been high on my list to program. Using oem fobs sets off the aftermarket alarm. For the seller(s) I used, I purchased 2 all in one keys and flip key with blade using "Make Offer" button and rounding them both down.
  2. LOL My turbo didn't last on Mobil 1 and my rebuilder says do not use Mobil 1. If the turbo is shot, this is the best way to find out before it takes the engine with it. Rebuilding the engine sounds like a simple process until you take a 10K a year pay cut, have nobody around to help, and toss in a few kids along the way. As for Subaru retunes, I'm not sure what the price is of that today. Back in my Cherry Hill NJ and Springfield VA days it ran $1100 each but I also had a whole bricked ECU situation from AP V1 foolishness leading me to open source options. I doubt they went back and fixed the issues of the burnt valves. If you can find TSI and ask him where the floating cord is you may be able to just go through Cryo or TA remotely. My intent was TA remote break in tune and eventually limp it to turn in concepts if the funds were still there.
  3. This guy literally said he collects Glocks and was literally gonna tell me what mine was worth to the exact dollar amount if I told him ny round count. In theory the round count between upper and lower isn't accurate as the slide moonlights the 80% lower. That would have probably been too much for him to try and process. I wasn't on a time crunch but I wanted to get home to cold beer so I let the conversation die on the magical Glock guy of Berea Fairgrounds.
  4. I swapped both the OCV's and still grenaded the 40. Sold the 40 to berkshire(SP) and got a 46 from a totalled Shrek B locally to later contaminate it. The 46 went as collateral with the locally sourced 52 to JmP. I still have those "like new" OCV's around and purchased another set of new ones for the build. I'm not sure how safe they are in the #YNANSB realm but they have/had like 5000 miles or so on them. I guess in short, spare turbo's are gone and are you still banjo filtered? *Not so ninja edit and I'd break the internet if I tried to retro multiquote* Passenger OCV was a Beeeyoch, I ended up removing the turbo coolant tank bolt, bending a bracket and rotating it to get it to fit. I wasn't sure what the original OCVs were even reading, I didn't track down the traveling NEOH tactrix cable for logging until after the SB was cinnamon toast crunch. Ganley of Wickliffe said "everything was fine" like a week before. As for oil level yeah doesn't take much time to be normal to 2 quarts missing. 3 years and 2 tunes prior I was 2 quarts low when I went for a road tune in Maryland. I literally drove an hour to get there from Northern Va. Speaking of tunes What?, is yours still a stock tune to your knowledge? My car was purchased already stage 2 ish with a horrible TDC Vendor stage 3 tune.
  5. The intent was for pocket (with a holster) use. I replaced my pocket gun (SCCY CPX-2) with a Glock 17. Glock 19 before the whole Gen 5 bells and whistles was too small for my hand and not that pocket ready either. I did like the 43 better but it was pretty much new, the 42s were used and most likely on sale this weekend. I did have a random guy in Walmart telling me I should buy them both and never shoot them because they will be collectors items soon. Same guy also told me I should watch my grains because I could damage my guns shooting higher than 115 for my G17. Just to see where he was, I told him I built an 80% gun and his reply was "But I know a guy who builds 100% guns". He asked me if I knew "Thee Glock man" and I said Lenny? His reply was some guy named Steve.
  6. For the AEM, 320, 340? Just weighing my options out for this and injectors. VF52 11 blade and no E85 locally.
  7. Reason I avoided the range this weekend. Had all I needed to walk in and not spend a dime but that Christmas bonus already came in time for Black Friday. I had my eye on either a G42 or G43 granted I need to still fix my 80% build. It still has the "Echo trigger mod" which I believe is the whole damn trigger housing from the fact it hates most connectors to include the one I took out of my G17 for the 3.5 lb one.
  8. Range here just has regular P320. Lots of their case went into the used guns section and they slowly started adding stuff to it. The Sig I liked but couldn't justify when it went to used was the P226 Legion SAO.
  9. I also ran the Canik TP9SFX and it was nice but I wasn't overly impressed. I assume it's because I been firing my Glock(s) for some time now? Didn't have any issues and didn't remember to try my WML on it that day. The Glock key just happen to work out on the H9.
  10. How do you guys feel about the Hudson H9? Got a chance to fire it against my G17 G3. The recoil was about the same as my G17 with the WML on it. Trigger is weird but you get used to it after a bit. It ran fine till I tossed my WML on it. Stove piped to the point it almost completely crushed the casing closed. I guess that "Do not remove" guide rod spring has to be strong. Not sure I'm sold on the price of it, or the weight of it.
  11. The box and paper looks way more elegant than the Mevotechs I got. I'm most likely going to leave the arms as is when I put them on. I have way more rubber to replace already.
  12. Reason I haven't been in a super rush to get mine back running. Most of what I need is done, just need to decide on a machine shop. CAMS in Canton was the supposed go to but they quoted $100-$1000 sight unseen until I put miles on the lease to find out. That might be the guy I talked to and got my 257 block from. If that was him, he had a gen 4 LGT and went n/a gen 5 legacy at the time. I totally would trust him, should have let him do it in the beginning vs letting my person tear up parts in the process of removing the cam gears w/o the tools. Someone traded in a 05 LGT and they blew up the engine on it shortly after the original owner drove off wit the new car and he was rebuilding it. He had 2 short blocks in stock, sold me one and used the other on that car since this is common for them to do or gen 4's. Yeah he seems ok but the stereotypical WRX trend was strong and I haven't really done much on there. Their meet ups were when I am sleep so I never been to one. Soooooo miss the F4 days. Yeah that was the pic, I think I was trying to compare before or after unloading the cans and the rear Y with the spring boosters installed. Let me know who you go to, as I won't be trusting my cousin to help on rebuild and install. His way would have had me on the road with a simple head cut and master gasket kit on the new short block vs new turbo and anything that touched oil plus misc "while it's apart" common sense items to address. I still need to have the heat shield on my UP redone as it broke at the welds and rattled for the last year of it running.
  13. That would be me. Boneyard in Mayfield off Mayfield before they became whatever it is now. Good ole Forced 4's and running Legacy GT days. Came across pic and tried to remember what it was about... http://i90.photobucket.com/albums/k280/merc6/LGT/th_IMG_1031.jpg Almost 180 degrees from that picture during the day... http://i90.photobucket.com/albums/k280/merc6/LGT/th_IMG_4039.jpg
  14. For the right price, anything can be done. Did you happen to have the rest of the donor car to make wiring or sourcing how a part fits easier?
  15. Step 1 is pull the battery. From there you should have more clarity on the location.
  16. http://denverpetsupply.net/userfiles/1022/images/casual_caturday__s_by_lucian9-d2y1kxr.jpg
  17. Yeah I didn't have much luck with finding independant. Granted I haven't been in "the scene" since Forced 4's fell off. If I still lived in VA I would have replaced my engine 4 times by now.
  18. Just got back, broke the P80 trigger. Put 10 rounds in and aimed like normal. Pull trigger and *bang bang bang bang* I left an empty mag in to see what it’s doing and after about 3 or 4 shots the trigger won’t reset. the crusiform edge chipped away and let the lug of the firing pin just keep on going. Seems like a cool party trick in an outdoor range, indoor range wasn’t too happy about it. Lol. I also got to fire .357 Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  19. I'm half tempted to abandon it and go V2 for the metal rails alone. I believe all my issues are the rear rails. Going to fire it today after a few mins of 1000 grit wet sanding then decide if I want to continue or not. I'm glad I "Cheated" and got a G17 to rob the slide from since most uppers for the 80 build cost the price of a FFL gun after you get the parts shipped.
  20. On that note, I hope they calm the fawk down! If the gun channels are right, my Glocks all have rate of fire increasing parts. I wonder if creating accelerated wear on trigger parts count? That being said I finally fired a wheel gun the other day... http://i90.photobucket.com/albums/k280/merc6/th_6FEBE30E-255A-401D-998A-29EC91347545_zpsvxtc6jyq.jpg Threw a light on this guy and it hated every second of it. G17 loved the extra weight up front for follow up shots. http://i90.photobucket.com/albums/k280/merc6/th_989A77D7-D208-4931-A0D1-6D5A52FFA6A5_zpszcp3tmnk.jpg
  21. Did some more work on the rear rails http://i90.photobucket.com/albums/k280/merc6/th_D6739F0D-0FBD-4350-898B-0642E0842C8C_zpslljibjse.jpg Polished up both lowers http://i90.photobucket.com/albums/k280/merc6/th_E0CEC5E1-B4E3-473A-AE49-B0014BF149C1_zpsywidkgrw.jpg Fired this and wasn't really impressed nor disappointed... http://i90.photobucket.com/albums/k280/merc6/th_CDBFA28C-D8A8-45D8-B4AE-C1EEA570DA7E_zpsuvb9kis7.jpg Finally went back to shooting this http://i90.photobucket.com/albums/k280/merc6/th_41580EA5-2C3A-4E4D-9513-7749D68225C8_zpssm9pwm4i.jpg and don't really see the fuss about this over the 3.0 untill I decide to swap the way I carry I guess. http://i90.photobucket.com/albums/k280/merc6/th_ED792F65-3DC8-4FA0-B0F4-5E2CDB9931D2_zpsmryl7kqy.jpg
  22. GlockTalk folks say they been shooting lead for years but clean their barrels often. When I fire it's usually 100 or so and I snake the barrel 2 times before I toss my EDC ammo back in. From what they are saying the new barrels in gen 5 aren't for lead either. For me I barely could get 200 rounds off in the 1 hour session especially if I do 15 of 12 gauge. The 80% lower is slowly coming together but still has It's hiccups and brass to the left or at my face issue. Good part is I've gotten more accurate with shotgun and my grouping on my G17 is getting better as well. http://i90.photobucket.com/albums/k280/merc6/th_03DC5517-6229-48D9-840C-E9EBCFD22A31_zpsc0xysr67.jpg http://i90.photobucket.com/albums/k280/merc6/th_CDEFBDA5-124A-431A-8BB9-9451AE988000_zpsejb16qo0.jpg http://i90.photobucket.com/albums/k280/merc6/th_D10F27CE-0062-4814-9AE3-3D505ED1A3CC_zpsru7hd8tt.jpg I also got a chance to shoot the Gen 5 G19. Trigger is really good but not enough to make me regret grabbing my Gen 3. Wasn't a fan of the flared mag well and cut. Looks like you have to train on that new design flaw. Orange follower after a week of being a range toy looks like crap. When I held the 1G7 it didn't feel as horrible. http://i90.photobucket.com/albums/k280/merc6/th_0FA3DDAB-24FC-4449-8D88-0ADDC461B575_zpsy7pihj3z.jpg http://i90.photobucket.com/albums/k280/merc6/th_7716FCF2-1114-419B-B529-B06E5A42E504_zpsglhaxj4y.jpg
  23. Wish I was comfortable reloading, I'd be the reason Glock says don't use reloads. As for conceal, I been hiding 1911's and Glock 17's so I'm sure I could hide anything smaller easily. Once i'm not as fat as I am it may be an issue. I'll cross that bridge when my fat ass jogs fast enough to cross that bridge. Walmart, keeps closing stores but I still got 3 or 4 in possibly 50 mins loop to get ammo. One right near me is too close to East Cleveland so they don't have anything besides nerf gun and nerf gun accessories. I usually make my rounds since they don't stock more than 1 15 round box of 12 gauge slugs.
  24. Yap, seen one in person and didn't feel like I needed to have or even hold it. People complain about the Glock gen 3 grip but yeah that looked worse. As for revolvers I haven't really fired them enough to have a feel for them. In other news I got my 4.0 Shape Shift for my G17 in the mail yesterday. Before that I was walking around with my old Serpa holster. They claim slimmer but I'm not seeing the difference over the 3.0 in that area. It's way easier that they have cant and ride height independent of each other now. I didn't see the need to get the full on starter kit since I only IWB it. I'm too fat for appendix setups especially with this G17 and my 1911.
  25. Never owned but need to get a 22. Seems like the ammo is back in stock again where before it was hard to come by.
