  1. When it runs right, I might look into it. As of the past dealings the last cop didn't care as it has my Ohio address on the registration, LOL. Garaged out of VA so no car tax and front plate and tint and emissions didn't matter. When it ran I passed emissions as I was still going back and forth to VA. I wonder if I have to go to VA for the fuel line recall since Ohio wasn't listed as one of the states when I looked last.
  2. IIRC he was just flying though and got hit by NJ stupid laws. http://www.pfctraining.com/JJ-Racaza/ When I was there, I just hid my stuff under the spare tire.
  3. Apparently they still exist. The guys here were smart enough to know the STi UP wasn't a cat so... Va tags this entire time. https://www.amazon.com/fake-catalytic-converter/s?ie=UTF8&page=1&rh=i%3Aaps%2Ck%3Afake%20catalytic%20converter
  4. LOL, but I want to wot in the top gear designed for fuel mileage. I been meaning to get an AP but not high on the list as the engine still is in pieces. I currently have just 1 cat in my car. How are folks passing e checks w/o? I remember flow master used to make dummy cats but they are non existent now.
  5. Quote works again, YAY! From your situation yeah, laws are still semi ideal but better than others. Just beware you gonna get all for seasons here. We experienced spring and summer a few times in the past 2 weeks with winter in between. Or it could be like eBay where they sell the High capacity mags and add some BS into it to prevent it from exceeding 10. I almost got a 33 round Glock mag with 10 rd capacity. I kinda played around with the idea if I travel into a neutered state having the 10 round mags. As of right now I'm running 19+1 in my G17 with 19 round spare.
  6. Quote sucks for me, can't quote anyone. Either way HFS! I had my sister and niece a the range and the closest I came to doing that was 9mm and .380 but I caught it as I was loading the mag. Same time I also caught them trying to pull an H&K reverse bullet mag situation. Out of all that they did well. That guy seems like the guys I seen on the range in the military. The type to shoot their ammo and trying to go down range while the line is still hot to see how they did. Not sure why, but folks call the CZ pistols the hipster brand. I fired a few but wasn't wowed by it. I wasn't a fan of the looks of them. As for the whole M9 thing, that's literally why I ran out and grabbed my 1st Glock. walking around 8-10 hours with that thing I wanted lighter. We had M11's in our armory but I never got a chance to fire them as OSI rarely ever fires with SF. The civilians contracted to us just had 92's and neutered mags. That's when I realized the 92 guide rods were plastic over our M9's metal. They felt cheaper as well but my M9 wore Pentagon SF wooden grips. Kinda not that much of a fair comparison. Being in the DMV area with Maryland folks as my recommendation that's the preferred pistol to get. All the guys ran G22 and said if we needed to toss mags to each other It would be easier. Fast forward I kinda went from G22 to G17 as it's cheaper to shoot and I don't like the feel of .40 though the G22. My favorite Sig is 226 Legion SAO and P938 BRG. With all access range pass I can rent it all and just pay for the range ammo.
  7. Welcome back to the shotgun world. I kinda miss my 590 SP but not enough to go re buy one. If the Tac 14 and Shockwave will ever become legal here I would go that route 1st.
  8. LOL, This the case IV8888 made a video about how to sneak gun in past the S/O a few weeks ago? Also I might have a situation where job relocates me right down the street from the range I have a membership to. That can't end well at all for my finances.
  9. LOL yeah the whole take the back plate off the slide was fun to figure out after the fact. The Double Diamond connector was cool drop in on my G17 but my P80 NOPE. I ended up just leaving it in my G17 instead. When I go V2 I may try that again.
  10. I kinda wanted to do this, but just for snow clearance. Seems like every chance I get I would center high the LGT on stock height.
  11. Glock triggers are kinda easy compared to SCCY. Having to take that thing apart is what gave me courage to start the P80 build. I'm debating on the P80 V2 when they go on sale.
  12. LOL I kinda had to. Cruze had to go and it was worth pennies trade or sell. 3 years I have a new car and new warranty and 3 years both cars walk away from. It was this or buy another extended warranty at the price of the car in used/trade value hoping it lasted the end of the loan. I pretty much replaced all but the engine and I feel like that was next up. Can't be 2 cars both no engines. End goal was have 0 car note debt and working Legacy. Once I figure out heads, fuel pump and injectors with he JmP 52 I'll figure out a plan to put Humpty Dumpty back together again. LOL before I got OTM, 22 miles 1 way to my range I normally would go to today but had other things come up. I may go Sunday instead with my cousin who been trying to go with me. Literally on group chat now setting up the day for the shooting day 50 miles away at A&A which is closer to home than the hotel is. Hotel we are at that weekend is like 70 miles from home. I'm most likely going to rent a GM car so I don't have to park so far from the GM plant like last year and run up miles.
  13. I have to drive over an hour and a half to shoot bird shot with a leased vehicle. I shoot 30 or so a month at most.
  14. For me I'm not shooting shot, I'm shooting solid lead projectiles that normally cost $1 or more a round in 5 pack or $10 for 15 if I can find it on the shelves. Funny part is I still haven't shot anything but slugs and the original intent of the gun was trap come May/June when everyone comes in town for Lordstown. Almost a whole year has past and the 26" Vent Ribbed Barrel with a improved skeet choke barrel that pretty much sat of for the same time. I ended up with that choke as I didn't want to shoot slugs out of my mod one that came with it and that's the closest I could find to cylinder locally.
  15. For me I was debating on loading shotgun. Tafladermaus (SP?) sent us to buck and slugs FB group where it seems like you could get away with way less tools than Pistol and Rifle. Pre primed hulls to avoid hazmat fees and already made slugs with powder data if you aren't going to melt down the wally world bird shot and make your own. The shotgun setups you literally could do "on the move" vs dedicating an area of the house or garage/shed to actually perform it vs storage.
  16. Yeah when I was stationed in NJ I just took my gun apart and hid it under the spare tire when I had to go that way for reserve duty. Folks were like move in my area and it's safe enough to not need a gun or lock your car. Nah I'm good. Kinda impractical but I can "if want to" here all day. Same time when I go to the range I only practice with 10 rounds to get the feel of being out of town in a cripple mag state. http://i90.photobucket.com/albums/k280/merc6/th_E5AD799E-6B93-4370-B85E-B1A026C445D2_zpsoclqui5h.jpg Either way been to the range only 2 times this year, got sick a week after the Flu Shot. 1st time I just shot my 1911 and G17. http://i90.photobucket.com/albums/k280/merc6/th_D7AECB02-5770-48F5-847D-04AF98902ABA_zpss09csrfo.jpg On the way out I saw this "cute little gun" and decided to see what it did on a test fire. Never been so offended in my life, lol totally would never ever do that again. http://i90.photobucket.com/albums/k280/merc6/th_5CBDD7B8-EA49-42EA-9162-85012FF50BFF_zpsqjdg0jfu.jpg Next trip was my G17 and my 870. I needed ammo so I figured why not grab a free rental that "only shoots range ammo" and have less to clean later. Went Hudson H9 again and broke it in 6 rounds... Squeeze the trigger 9 times and it finally went off on the 10'th. http://i90.photobucket.com/albums/k280/merc6/th_677F8C71-E69F-465E-A6C1-45672095A851_zpsvdqx0we5.jpg After that I figured why not try out this cool Operator style 19X everyone is talking about. It fired ok, kinda like the Gen 5 minus the magazine pinch zone on my pinky. It wasn't a bad gun but not worth the price to me. Mags are gen 4 all the way so no orange follower. http://i90.photobucket.com/albums/k280/merc6/th_EAD47FB0-3B6F-4D8B-8868-37E54D05F30D_zpsfv88rof7.jpg http://i90.photobucket.com/albums/k280/merc6/th_DFD387A0-BF51-41D4-B9E2-6E4125BDE712_zpshdxvylfs.jpg http://i90.photobucket.com/albums/k280/merc6/th_343B142B-9D9B-48F1-A084-44C3C1BF5E21_zpsq2uicgwv.jpg
  17. Yeah barrel laws trump the whole it's not a shotgun ruling. I kinda wanted that or the Tac 14 when Point Blank had customer appreciation rebates one Thursday last fall.
  18. Like the little pin/dowel was in the gear all the way? I can confirm this 2 times still married to the same car. Hicksta'd all the way don't be tempted to do it.
  19. Mine went through an issue with head gaskets. All the shops wanted value of the car to fix it. At 17 years it was not worth it. Nope it's the 05 LGT awaiting every recall known to man. Brake fuel and air bag. Dash isn't sticky but who knows how long it will stay in 1 piece when they go for the airbag. Funny thing is the Buick was less rusted than my LGT. Yeah that Opel with the dual brake lights. The brake lights are on the hatch and when the hatch opens they expose a 2nd set of brake lights. They have plenty of cars that could have been here but they wait till nobody wants them.
  20. Depends on what Buick you get. My 98 Buick was traded for a 13 Chevy which got traded for a 17 Honda. I wonder how my lines will be when I crawl under there. This is what I have for my VA/Ohio car. http://i90.photobucket.com/albums/k280/merc6/LGT/th_D9052FB3-DC07-4B0C-A224-7B82ECF3129E_zpsompt49nx.jpg
  21. They worked even in Qatar sand. They hid the A1 lowers from us because we would burn through ammo to quickly. A1 lower, blanks, and MILES gear was a blast. Best part was when one of our guys figured out where and how hard to hit the gun to silent sniper kill.
  22. Simunitions are fun till it breaks skin. We used them a lot in the AF. They even had a simunition M249 in the mix.
  23. Flashbang > CS canister on the morning you shaved.
  24. Pretty much when I was gonna have it done if I did this route. There was a few locksmiths that I had copy working chipped keys but they were older GM ones. I've had it done by a dealer before but I don't remember what they charged me in 2008 for it.
  25. I remember someone talking about replacing the intake cams fixed the issue but that's a pricey shot in the dark. I'm still tempted to open mine to try and clean them while the engine is still out before I replace them.
