What turbo? wiki... with a twist
1-3-2-4 replied to fahr_side's topic in Turbo Powertrains (2.0GT, 2.5GT, 2.5XT)
The only way to be solid and hit the numbers I want on a vf52 is to use e85 and only one fuel station in town had it the next one is over 15 miles away.. so e85 not a option for me. -

Wont a larger turbo flow more and provide your target WHP at a lower boost then a smaller turbo being maxed out to get to your target? I ask because I installed a VF52 but now I'm looking to switch to a TD06-20G -

I don't think any of the JDM front ends can fit a FMIC right? Where are you guys ordering this stuff from? -

I know this is a old thread but the axle boot does the OEM one have the rubber molded to the dimples in the green cup? I'm unsure if I want to get a aftermarket one saying that it does fit but it's not molded to fit and that's with including doing the bands. I did the axles on my friend's '99 forester about 5 years ago it's still going strong.. I told him to take that China axle back to the store Not to get off topic but how hard is it to get off the lower ball joint? I did it in my '95 Legacy holy cow the metal started to hair line crack before it finally came out.

Ahh that Vhoop sound.. I was trying to describe that sound when it happened to me.. it sounded almost like a sound that would be in a cartoon... in my case I was over 50 miles from home.. round trip you are talking like 100 miles I did with no boost.. 2nd turbo died until 300 miles and when I pulled the banjo filter behind the head (I forgot that one) I was unable to see much of any light behind the filter. But that sound... you 100% wont forget it

I know how the compressor works so I know about the clutch and yes when I say it wont turn it wont turn period I think I'm going to get the whole clutch thing and give it a shot if it works Im only out of like $80 the car has been sitting for like 2 years so it wasn't running My understanding is these clutch kits come with a new pulley which is inside the hub part.. the description is not very good about it.

Everything fits pretty good had to use a little Jb wield to hold the mpg display down because pressing a button would cause it to push inwards but that's because the side tabs are broken. For the wideband I think I'm going to tap from the cig lighter not sure how much the wideband draws but I don't use anything but a phone charger in that spot anyways the other two can go on the IGN feed Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk -

You gotta be kidding me security screws for the center pod? took the center out of the car I need to figure out if I can mount the control for the oil pressure control pad for the gauge the idea spot would be right under it. Hour of sleep then back to work! Looks like the side tabs for the mpg thingy are both broke I can't remember if it was me or the last owner I had to shorten the Z and lengthen the y axis because it was causing it to pull the display up causing a gap. -
