  1. Yeap, was good on Centric rotors and hawk HPS pads too. Was a little noisy/dusty sometimes, and needed some warming up before they would bite in the winter.
  2. I went through hell of trying to get rid of that brake pulsation for years. Even made me think about selling the car. Cost me at least 2 sets of ball joints and tie rods. Ended up being an incompatibility between stock OEM pads and Centric rotors. Apparently both have changed over the years and what was a fine combo before stopped being fine. Swapped to OEM rotors and new set of OEM pads and now the car is smooth again.
  3. I went full LED module swap with Hella3 replicas. Something I wanted to try for a long time and finally everything came together. I will do a write-up on that swap at some point while memory is fresh.
  4. JDM 2DIN panel with dual climate controls (most GT/XT and Limited NAs). Comes with JDM hazard switch as pictured, but no harnesses. The BAD: Has a scratch on the left (driver) side on top of climate control block - see pictures. The GOOD: Otherwise no scratches or wear on other parts. In fact, the VHD filter is in better shape than my own EDM setup (duh). All tabs and mounting points (sides, back, hazard switch) are intact. Asking $140 OBO + PP + shipping. --- --- --- --- --- --- ---
  5. Out of my JDM headlights, 2 OEM Xenon HID projectors with BAITECHS 6000K D2S bulbs. Took out of working JDM headlights. Lights are from 09 donor if it makes any difference for internal projectors - I do not believe it does but be aware of that. These were left as RHD so will need to be converted to LHD for USDM. Blue poly was put to protect the lens while in storage. Lenses are clean. See pictures for details. Asking $100 OBO + PP + shipping for the pair. Want to sell as a pair. --- --- --- --- --- --- --- --- --- ---
  6. Out of my JDM headlights, 2 OEM Xenon HID ballast modules. Subaru OEM part # 84965ae020. Good condition, clean, no rust. Took out of working JDM headlights. Power wires will need to be connectorised to your application, or repin the existing connector. Bulb connector is D2S bulbs which is OEM. See pictures for details. Asking $80 OBO + PP + shipping for the pair. Want to sell as a pair. --- ---
  7. Uhm, I do not know. The LCD have filters that invert the image (black/white) when you turn the filter over, but these are not LCDs. I can take a picture of mine if you want.
  8. Have my original 05 OEM headlights taking space after post-lift JDM swap. The good: - had lamin-x ppf on them since I bought the car in 2007, this is I believe 3rd set of film. The headlights surface under the film is pristine if you want to put new ppf, current one should be good another 2-3 years of year round driving; - have HIKARI Megatron LED bulbs for low beams, included; - have Toshiba H1 HIR bulbs for high beams, included; - no broken off corners or tabs - except for one - see below: The bad: - driver side inner tab that connects to grille got broken off during removal. I taped it to the light itself - see pictures. Asking $180 OBO + PP + shipping. Driver side: --- --- --- --- --- --- Broken tab taped to the light: --- HIKARI LED low beam bulb: --- --- Passenger side: Do not mind the bubble of film, I got lazy installing the last set of film --- --- --- --- --- --- ---
  9. All parts are free, just pay shipping and PP fees. Free pickup in East Greenwich RI area. 1. GONE Engine bay protection panels, JDM. These go on side above CVs, some USDM cars came with them , some did not. --- --- 2. GONE Kartboy 5sp poly shifter bushings. New, never used. Dark blue, not sure why they look black on the pictures. --- 3. GONE Saggy butt spacers, 1/2 inch, USED. --- --- 4. 2.5L NA engine ignition coil, OEM, used. Thought it was causing hesitation in my son's old 05OB, so bought non-OEM one. Issue ended up being spark plugs and ignition wiring. Part # 22433AA41B. --- 5. GONE 4BOX rear suspension adjustable arms. These were popular back in the day but were known for bushings being weak. New, never installed. --- 6. 2010-2013 EJ255 Water pump, OEM, new. Part # 21111AA320. Bought it for middle son's 2010 OB but ended up using water pump from Aisin kit. Comes with a new gasket. --- --- --- ---
  10. Wagon people, question for you - which harness on the rear gate has the defroster? Mine does not seem to work anymore, I guess the wires snapped. I replaced the radio one which I believe was the left side a few years ago. Should have replaced the other one at that time but oh well.
  11. Agreed, modding the headlights in reality was much easier than I thought.
  12. ok, I am finally able to get to some "me" time activities. Going back to page 1 so I can get an idea of what is going on.
  13. Bummer. I had my original sunroof break at autocross, the front tilting lid got jammed in open position on passenger side. Dealer closed it but long story short I drove for years with it closed. Replaced it last year with working unit out of my son's 05OB that we scraped. When my sunroof broke the dealer told me they do not sell individual parts for sunroof, they only get replaced as an assembly. Interesting what your experience will be. Good luck with repair!
  14. I looked at Etsy before buying what I got and yes there are many different options there. They all address the issue with JDM bumper mounting hardware not matching US plates mount points. And I did not find any solid full size plate brackets which was what I wanted. Went to Amazon and bought 2 things: 1. 'Front Bumper License Plate Bracket for Subaru + 6 Secure Screws & Wrench Kit :' https://www.amazon.com/dp/B01B8OWLIU?psc=1&ref=ppx_yo2ov_dt_b_product_details 2. 'Aujen Silicone License Plate Frames Black, 2 Pack Car License Plate Covers' : https://www.amazon.com/dp/B07YZFM2FQ?psc=1&ref=ppx_yo2ov_dt_b_product_details The bracket is a full size support bracket which is again what I wanted. The silicon sleeves are a bit more flimsy than I hoped for but good enough to keep the sharp edges of the plate covered so I would not cut myself again washing the car by hand. Ideally I would like to replace the silicon sleeve with plastic bracket as is on wife's MDX. But for now this will do. Front view 1: Front view 2: Left side view: Right side view: Top view: MDX plastic bracket:
  15. Today received front plate mounting hardware and put the front plate on JDM bumper. RI requires front plates so have to obey.
  16. So what is the recommended grease you used? "sil-glyde" or something else? The swollen rubber sleeves are also holding the pin in the caliper, resulting in brake pads uneven wear. I had to trim the sleeves a few times before replacing them with new OEM. I used some high-temp brake pin grease but I do not recall if that was silicone or not.
  17. LegacyOddNends is Ralph from Hawaii. I used his harnesses for the headlights main harness and level motor harness as well. I have his folding mirror harness kit too, half mounted (the switch part is done). Good quality and workmanship. I decided to reuse the JDM parking bulb socket from original JDM harness - the ones in Ralph's harness were not as long and were difficult to insert as the opening in the back of the light is very deep- hence the original OEM socket being longer. It may just be that the rubber seal is too thick on new connectors, I compared them after cutting and that was the only other difference. Ralph's instructions are also very helpful and detailed. 5 stars imo.
  18. Good question! I do not know if it is in fact different. The JDM donor was 09 and my car is USDM 05. I have read somewhere that the USDM hood front part does not align with JDM grille and bumper but I have not verified that actually. Would be interesting to cross verify part ## for both.
