Lets see... Past few days of toying with my legacy have been taking off blind spot mirrors the previous owner put on, cleaning windows, quotes on cheap tires, and finding more stone chips... Now to make a shopping list. (photos are non-existent because I have no "beauty" shots of her, plus she's rough...

Would be shipped to Niagara ontario. So, to fix the CEL (P1446), the sensors are going to have to be replaced. The dealership can get those, but there are two parts missing that they cannot get. The left hand tank strap and the fuel cord (I believe they mean the wiring harness, but not sure). Anything helps Sent from my SM-N960W using Tapatalk

Probably way out of budget, but if you are looking for aftermarket seats, and don't want Subaru seats, Recaro makes aftermarket seats with heat and side airbags (can't recall if ours have seat mounted side airbags). The seats also look really good too! So, just some food for thought Sent from my SM-N960W using Tapatalk

Marvick08GT's Ridiculous Build!

She's looking great! -
Already in the group, last ditch thing is to ask in there because of the warranty (it has strange stipulations, and fails to mention the use of proper fuel, so in theory I can get away with blowing up the car by putting regular unleaded in). It's also tied with a falsified safety certificate, so, this situation is pretty screwed up. But I ain't giving up the car yet Sent from my SM-N960W using Tapatalk

possible torque converter issue
NoOne1223 replied to allanworks's topic in Warranty Issues & Problems
There might be protections for your situation after having bought the car. I'm in the same boat with a post purchase $1500 safety related repair that the dealership is giving me a headache over. I haven't even taken the car home and have it in my driveway any more than 36 hours, and I've owned the car for over a week now. So, I understand your pain Sent from my SM-N960W using Tapatalk -
Front Brakes Hold Pressure

Try your local auto wreckers and find an STi master cyl. Improves brake feel. I suggest this since you're already in there. Otherwise, I'm at a loss Sent from my SM-N960W using Tapatalk -

I know on my LGT, the recall was a total replacement, and here in Canada at least, if they were rusty, they'd be replaced. That recall also is what caused my car's current issue (that I inherited) of a recurrent P1446 trouble code... Didn't know about the bandaid repair that was the waxy spray on non-rusty, non-leaky brake lines. Sent from my SM-N960W using Tapatalk -

Do a full bleed on the system with a flush. Also, rusted brake lines are a recall item -
Just found out my car has to go under the knife... Car was sold to me certified, But it left the lot without a working horn and throwing P1446. $1500 CAD repair, and if I want to keep my warranty, I have to go through a certified shop... Plus since it's a safety item, the dealer I bought it from gets to pay. All I wanted was a car Hopefully I get the car soon...

Can't wait to hear about the results of your testing. Something I'll have to keep an eye on as my dash isn't doing the sticky thing yet. Sent from my SM-N960W using Tapatalk

05 LGT 5spd EJ257 Type RA Build
NoOne1223 replied to k00laid83's topic in Engine Rebuild Threads (Engines Only)
From what I see with both inlets, is that the torque solutions one will be easier to install, and you may not need to pull the intake manifold off. That being said, the Cobb inlet looks nicer. Best part is, they're both the same price right now, but, if that weren't the case, I'd say to go with the Cobb inlet. -

Wish I could do this, but that Canada shipping is murder. -
By the looks of those cuts, they are squared off, meaning that they are now predisposed to crack in those areas. I don't know what the load conditions of those parts are, but I (in my not expert opinion) would not trust those, and go after the shop for damaging your parts Sent from my SM-N960W using Tapatalk

If I had the funds, I'd buy the whole JDM kit, but all I need is the top half. Hope you find a buyer! -
I'd do the plugs as they have reached their service life, and the injectors (assuming no tune) don't exactly need replacement. Coils shouldn't need replacing, but if the plugs don't fix it, it may be the coils.

No gas smell, but the CEL is recurrent. Mighty annoying because, again, I just picked the car up on Tuesday... I'm going to get the to change the day of delivery to when I pick the car up again... Hopefully they don't charge me for this because not having the car for 24 hours and already having to take it to them to deal with something that never showed during the test drive is bs, and the horn not working meaning it failed its safety. Not to mention that the Subaru shop that did the airbag recall noted in the invoice that the horn didn't work, and the dealership I bought the car from not reading the invoice adds to the frustration... But I don't intend on giving this car up
