BX77
KYb's with Epic springs - Big old floppy tits Koni's with Epic springs - Young , firm with enough bounce to make you smile On the serious side, I have tried a few different settings, I think I like the middle setting for DD, I have yet to try full firm, and full soft it's kind of bouncy. That's all I got for now.
iNVAR
Well, as a friend of mine told me, going too firm can also be a bad thing. The setting is for rebound, so if you go too firm, the rebound is overdampened and your tires, when going over certain bumps won't maintain contact with the ground during the rebound stage. That's not really a thing that affects comfort, but more of a stability/handling thing. You obviously want your tires to maintain contact as much as possible. It seems to me that most of the harshness from a ride comes from a) stiffer springs and b) a damper with stronger compression. Being that the Konis are rebound adjustment only (they do affect compression a very small amount) you won't get a whole lot of range when it comes to adjusting for comfort. bluesuby
Dont forget lifetime warranty, its hard to find products with a solid warranty like that these days. The warranty is good, but considering the labor involved in changing a bad strut, the shipping cost to send it back to Koni, and the need for an alignment, it's not free. I had the driver's front go bad with a leak after a couple years, and I'm thinking it was just bad luck for me. All things considered, Konis take the floating sensation out of the ride and maintain decent comfort. I'm running full soft on stock springs, although I'll probably turn the firmness up one adjustment after 4 years/40,000 miles. Rear adjustment on the wagon involves a lot of panel removals. I doubt I'll do anything back there.

Ben_08
Yup we carry all the whiteline products. The WL sways all come with sway bar bushings too. I would couple with it WL end links with it as well. I'm looking at the Konis with stock springs set up with WL sways and bushings but was thinking of going with Moog end links after reading another thread. Any thoughts/advice on this? I'm fairly green and could use all the help I could get.
Moderators BarManBean Posted July 12, 2013 Moderators Share Posted July 12, 2013 Lots of folks have been using the moogs with success lately--can't really go wrong with the price. I've been using kartboys and like them also, but I have to say that the moog design might be a bit more user friendly. BX77
I broke my 1 rear Whiteline end link when I was installing my Koni's on a Sunday . So I ran to Advance Auto and picked a set of Delco End links. They seem ok for now. And if it breaks I will get a set of Moogs.
AZP Installs
I'm looking at the Konis with stock springs set up with WL sways and bushings but was thinking of going with Moog end links after reading another thread. Any thoughts/advice on this? I'm fairly green and could use all the help I could get. Sorry for the delay. I would highly suggest the WL sways with that combo. For end links, the WL makes a great adjustable one which works well with the WL sways. We have had issues on lowered cars and KB rear end links coupled with WL sways. The Moog are good products as well. -Mike Paisan http://www.pbase.com/paisan/image/91072632.jpg http://www.pbase.com/paisan/image/145749898/original.jpg http://www.pbase.com/paisan/image/133406601.jpg http://www.whiteline.com.au/images/logos/perf1.jpg 11+ Years Maintaining, Modifying and Educating TriState Subaru Enthusiasts. Junior314
I let AZP install a new set of koni's for me with my stock springs on the wagon last week. They did a great job as usual. Thanks to Ray and the crew. The ride is greatly improved, no more floating down the highway but driver beware the streets of NYC, Bklyn and Queens are not friendly to the this setup (18's, konis..) You are definitely feeling a lot more bumps! I am much more selective now in my choice of routes and look forward to driving outside of the city. All in all I prefer the Koni's over the stock setup any day bumps or no bumps. next up Whiteline sways front and rear....

BX77
I notice with the Koni's and Epics, a quarter turn softer from the middle gives a nice DD ride, I almost makes NYC rode's bearable, Hard expansion joints (nothing can be done about those)
