If you're in Queens and are curious about the ride, I can probably take a little bit of time to meet up, and you can hop in and pretend to be the wife and see how the car feels from that perspective lol.

The bumps can be harsh but the loose dashboard rattles and shakes just make the car feel cheap lol. I'd probably deal with the suspension just fine if it weren't for the rattles.

Also have an ACT HD clutch if you're wondering how stiff that gets hehe.

I just got my injectors back and everything was awesome. Just spreading the word of a good fuel injector shop in our area. Our options seemed very limited, but after talking with these guys and being the guinea pig by driving out there and seeing if they had the equipment for our style injectors it worked out well.

Thanks for the offer I would come out there now but I have a full plate before I go away, I'm in Throggs Neck where are you? My WRX had the RCE Bilstein and yellows so I got an Idea of what to expect. But they weren't adjustable

I also have the Epic springs with Koni yellows. I'm in Whitestone, Queens but I drive pretty much all over the 5 boros, LI and NJ. I love the slightly lowered stance and the way the car handles most of the time. However there are few bumps that I travel over that feel like the car is going to break in half from bottoming out. I've tried setting them to full soft, hard and anything in between and it didn't help. I also tried taking the bumps at different speeds and same outcome. The queens guys might know this one......on the whitestone expressway going west by the college point multiplex. I have 17x8's with 245/40-17's.

As others have said, in NYC the LGT even on the best setup will yield a bit of harshness. I found the Konis and WL Bushings gave me better control with minimal NVH. Heck in NYC even my XJ gets whacked around!

Thanks guys for sharing all the info. I will be upsizing to 18". I will probably upgrade the sways and bushings and go with a set of koni shocks. Not sure if I'm going to change out springs though, I may not need to lower it any. My kids say everytime I get in the car its lowers like 5 inches as it is anyway :munch:

I've been told that Koni's work fine with just the stock springs too. 18s are fine, if you're careful with your driving. I nailed a pothole on the Van Wyck where they were doing construction last summer. They're still working on it, right by where it branches to the Interboro/Union Turnpike. I dented my 18x7.5 rims with 225/40 tires. So keep that in mind. It'll be a harsher ride since you're giving up 1/2" rubber all around, and more susceptible to damage.

I know the Van Wyck and Grand Central is really bad . The irony is the more you hook up your car for speed and handling the slower you have to drive it to keep from damaging it.I will be using 18X8 with 225/40 , gonna pick up the goodyear eagle F1's from tirerack on sale

I ran for a year with my LGT wagon with Konis and stock springs. They work fine and are great for a dd/street car.

Hey Mike ,

I want to go whiteline sways front and rear and bushings of course. My car squeaks like crazy right now. Are the whiteline bushings quiet? You sell these at your shop right?

Yup we carry all the whiteline products. The WL sways all come with sway bar bushings too. I would couple with it WL end links with it as well.

Before we put on the sways though we can try to eval the squeaking so we don't introduce another variable into the equation.
