tora Posted August 19, 2005 Share Posted August 19, 2005 It's not a bad swap at all, and depends what you want to do in terms of the swap. Auto to manual is pretty easy if you have all the right parts. (eg. 5spd uses a different started than the auto). As for the engine swap the swap itself is simple simon, the wiring is not bad, but very time consuming ASSUMING you want to use the WRX wiring harness and ECU (which make ssense for a street car as then you can use all the ECU programming that is available for the WRX (EcuTeK et al). If this is for motorsports or for any other reason you want a standalone system then it makes things a little more straight forward.
