Options to get a good Subaru Rumble :)

Recommended Posts

In all honesty I like the quietness of the car. I'd save all that time/money and get a tune and/or AP. Give yourself some more power and stay stealthy.

Loud cars bother me, both from passing them on the freeway and having to drive one. My track car, a largely stock s2000, has a 89-92db level cabin noise at 75mph. I get into the subi (winter beater car) and its so quiet, yet fun in a straight line.

Friend of mine has an exhaust on his recently purchased STI, and while it sounds nice, it's not nice in the cabin or for a daily driver. Sounds like an huey when started up cold.

It's my opinion noise should be made from power, not noise for the sake of noise. You should have more fun with more power too :)

a stock legacy can run 13's... that's a good enough reason to let it rumble.

^If you don't want to spend the time going to a muffler shop you can buy deletes from Nameless Performance.

I just put a set on on Saturday morning. Took about 20 minutes including making sure the tips were sitting in the cutouts correctly. Great workmanship on them and an awesome bunch of guys. Met them personally and saw a lot of their other production and prototype work.

13.5 is pretty impressive I guess I will have to take mine to the track this summer and see what it puts down with the Stage 2.

Was the temp outside that day pretty cool?

temp was perfect! it ran as fast as my stage 2 time.

lesson = summer sucks, spring is good for turbo.
