NavigatorsLegacy
can anyone recommend me a horn upgrade for a 5th gen Subie? What do I need? Do I need a degree in rocket science to Do this? Or is a professional install recommended? Tell me ... How can I mount a new horn? I like the European sounding ones but would like to hear from the forum! U got a sound clip... Post it! parad1mg
I have PIAA's Sports Horns. Made a few semi trucks quickly swerve back to their lane and they don't sound tinny. Hella supertones sounds like a small motorcycle horn to me. Much like a "meep meep" sound.
Stang70Fastback
Hella supertones sounds like a small motorcycle horn to me. Much like a "meep meep" sound. Agreed. They are too high-pitched and "waily" for my taste.
Underdog
I've been recommending and installing the Hella twin trumpet kit on customer's cars recently. It has a distinctly more "honk" like sound than the Supertones. Sound clip --->here<--- Oh, and they are less expensive than Supertones. Let me know if you are interested. NavigatorsLegacy
I have PIAA's Sports Horns. Made a few semi trucks quickly swerve back to their lane and they don't sound tinny. Hella supertones sounds like a small motorcycle horn to me. Much like a "meep meep" sound. I'm really trying to get away from the "meep meep" sounds... Question... ur horn..Amazon sells them but do I need a wiring kit to install and a mounting harness of some sort. What would I need besides the Horn itself? Please advise. Ty. Windy Road
I'm biased towards the hella horns. Two in the grill and two where the stock horns are. 276hp/347tq On a DynoJet Dyno Video - Had a big lean spot as you can tell in the second pull
