Brake master cylinder brace?

Recommended Posts

I DO NOT ACCEPT CODs... lol

I ran out .. it's hard to see because the fuel lines and fuel line bracket are in the way.. but it looks good.. There might be some modification(bending/maybe cut a little notch) to the brace body.. it needs to be pushed back, but again it looks pretty good.

by pushed back I mean it's not perfectly centered to the MBC center... but it will mount to the "strut body" perfectly.

THE 08+ WRX/STI MASTER BRAKE CYLINDER BRACE WILL NOT WORK WITH OUR CARS.

it's about an inch off center and about 2-3 inches too far back.

Best pics I can get it's a little restrictive on space.

Can it be modified to fit... I don't know.. it's def. going to take some serious modification.

Anyone wanna buy a 08+ WRX/STI MBC Brace... never used.

Would be even better if I still lived near PDX, in the PNW. :)

Jordan confirmed he needs someone to stop by.

Needs a few hours and we should have the part.

Added bonus is the development mule gets the part free.

From there, we can organize a one-time GB again.

Jordan told me the braces should not be too expensive (which I read as <$100).

Bumping the old thread back to life!

Jordan of Gladman Performance Fabrication is interested in fabricating a proper 5th gen USDM MCB for us!

Anyone local to WA or Vancouver who could stop by?

It's only a 45 hour drive

Well I live in Portland and I emailed him...he want my car for 3 days? Driving to canada 400 miles and sitting around for 3 days with my family doesn't really sound like fun....wish they were closer and in the USA would make it a thousand times easier!! Still on the fence about doing it but it doesn't look good for me...

Gladman is in Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada. Long a$$ drive for most everyone except Gire.

Nice find..

I just ordered one. Seems pretty straight forward of an install. For the two missing holes, I'll just use self tapping screws. You may need to translate the instructions for me if I get hung up on something.

P.S. Apparently, I got the only one they had since there's none listed anymore. Can't play with scared money in this game.

The instruction came with pictures and yup the install is pretty straight forward, but just in case, it's no problem with me, I'm always here to help..

Okay, so I was going thru all the parts and pictures today; my instruction and parts list are slightly different than yours. The large bolt goes with the 2 nuts and the stopper, that's easy enough. But then there is 1 medium size bolt with nut & washer, and 4 small bolts with washers. There are 6 mounting holes on the brace, so what goes where? Are we re-using any of the OEM bolts? Where does the medium sized nut/bolt/washer combo go?

I think there are a couple drilled and tapped holes on the strut tower in the picture included with those instructions that we don't have on our USDM cars.

I saw that and I plan to use self tapping screws to solve that problem. It's really just the medium sized bolt that's got me scratching my head.
