Gire
This is the right place to ask these questions my friend! You have an Auto so a Starter is an easy great thing to install.

Critchie
you can't really go wrong with the compustar units.
kongzilla
Compustar here also. I also have the drone application for my car. Not sure if the 05/06 has key immobilizers but the 07+ does and they require you to lose a key. For Subaru applications, there isn't a way to bypass this setup yet on compustar. This maybe true for all remote starters.

gerbler
they all have immobilizers, but you put in an alarm/starter combo and you have immobilizer anyways. i too have been using compustar for the last 12yrs or so.
DoctorLGT
I only wish there was a way to upgrade the system without having to completely replace it. Cause I would love to be able to turn my car on from android phone.
kongzilla
Compustar works with your original equipment and can keep it's stock features.

xmarksthespotx
sorry i am new to this but, what immobilizer do you use?
DoctorLGT
Immobilizer is the chip inside of your stock key. When the key comes into proximity to a sensor inside of your steering column it basically says "thats the right key" and allows the car to turn on. If a key without the properly coded chip is used to turn the car on, the car wont turn on. So the immobilizer is part of the stock LGT key. DoctorLGT
YeA. We all had to who went aftermarket. I used the valet key because I rather have two fully functioning keys then one fully and one valet.
