bakabakablah
Nice to see people using a good host like imgur rather than shitty Photobucket or the like. In any case, I'd strongly recommend filling in the 'squirrel finders' found on your projector shields as they can cause a lot of glare for oncoming traffic. You can see the effects of the squirrel finders in the first picture of your album; there shouldn't be any light leaking above the cutoff line. If you've got long, thin, and wiry fingers you could get away with not having to bake the lights to fill in the holes but if you're like most of us, you'll need to pop the headlights open and fill them in that way. Gire
Slim ballast diode dynamics 4300k in oem look. Two(?) years now and they still work perfectly. Better than the highest end halogens I have sampled. Like Philips extreme out of Europe (not DOT approved). I'm sure the proper retrofit ones are the 'best' but at 1/3 to 1/5 the price the DD brand is great.
Drift Motion
damn that's a lot of glare
Chris GTO TT
Why are people so obsessed with filling the squirrel finders? Stock projectors have better cutoff and light distribution than many oem HID's I have seen. Is it super sharp like some of the TRS solutions? No, but some light above the cutoff is needed to light rest of the road. My stock projectors cutoff is so sharp that when driving on a dark road anything beyond the cut off is really dark. I rely on high beams on this car more than anything I've ever driven. 2003 Baja 5MT 2016 Outback 2.5i Premium w/Eyesight
Drift Motion
because if you don't fill it, you'll create a lot more glare, which in turn blind the on coming drivers
Chris GTO TT
I'm respectfully calling bull on that. Glare is minimal with totally stock projectors. I've personally seen OEM HID's with MUCH more glare than our projectors. 2003 Baja 5MT 2016 Outback 2.5i Premium w/Eyesight
Drift Motion
http://i.imgur.com/NzmnQh.jpg All the light above the cut off is glare, it's what blinds you You can see more pics of my retrofit here: http://legacygt.com/forums/showthread.php/retrofitting-projectors-trs-hid-178274.html
ericem
You have high standards. ill be 99.8% of people who see a 05+ lgt with 4300/5000k 35w hid's think they came factory because of how perfect the aiming is and how well it goes with the vehicle. I personally feel the stock lens do a great job of directing the light with hid's. It is nice having my signs around me being lit as well unlike hid projectors that cut off to well to the point where signs no longer reflect... Drift Motion
not high standards, but do things the right way plus the retrofit allowed me to see much clearer at night than the OEM projectors

Chris GTO TT
That's not glare that is the cutoff bumping up to the point where you are below it. 2003 Baja 5MT 2016 Outback 2.5i Premium w/Eyesight

stuck686
here is my cutoff with an ebay kit. if i filled the squirrel holes it would be a decent cutoff... but if going to go in there im just gonna but retrorfits..lol http://sphotos-b.xx.fbcdn.net/hphotos-snc7/305546_4796990004058_529722403_n.jpg
