Been there, done that. I got a few more 1000 miles out of her before I bought the used one on line for $330 shipped. I did a web search for a used R160. 305,600miles 5/2012 ej257 short block, 8/2011 installed VF52 turbo, @20.8psi, 280whp, 300ftlbs. (SOLD). CHECK your oil, these cars use it. SUPERBU Posted September 25, 2012 Author Share Posted September 25, 2012 I've decided to step up and start fixing the problems on my own. I plan on installing new front axles and seals in the next few weeks. I can't do the control arm bushings because I don't have the tools and I don't think I will tackle the clutch either. My best friend is a Subaru mechanic so the 2 of us should be able to take care of most issues. I asked his dealership for an estimate on the clutch repair. 8 hours X $90/hour. Prob what I'll try, mine are ready too.
