Tehnation
2 of my wheel studs broke on my front driver side hub. Can I replace the studs or do I need an entire new wheel hub?
xilles
you can replace just the studs not hard if you know how.. take wheel off. take brakes off. take rotor off. hit broken stud out. install new studs put rotor on. tighten lug on to pull new studs into the housing replace brakes install wheel drive

Tehnation
I was about to have nightmares! Worked perfectly, thanks for the quick reply! I was lucky I kept the old rear wheel bearing, just knocked those out and used those. I just had to buy a set of lug nuts, I like cheap fixes.. Max Capacity
You should use anti-seize compound on the studs so the lug nut don't mess up the threads. I do that on all the cars I work on. 305,600miles 5/2012 ej257 short block, 8/2011 installed VF52 turbo, @20.8psi, 280whp, 300ftlbs. (SOLD). CHECK your oil, these cars use it. dr_sharp
How did the 2 studs break? I had 2 studs break a couple of years ago and the dealer replaced them. I never determined teh cause but figured it had to do with taking to a shop that was hasty with air tools about a week prior. lol
Tehnation
Was getting tires changed and they told me 2 of the bolts are seized. So i said move over lemme give it a shot annnnd then I only had 3 studs left.
