JMLegacy
AVO'S Fail too? Could it be that the Polyurethane is just too brittle for that position?
AZP Installs
Never saw an AVO fail so far. Luckily Whiteline will replace them at no cost. -Mike Paisan http://www.pbase.com/paisan/image/153798190.jpg Maintaining, Modifying and Educating TriState Enthusiasts since 2001. Rhitter
My Avo's failed in a different way. I think I had an old style (without the flanges) bushing. It pulled out of the LCA http://i.imgur.com/AnSEnX9.jpg My OBXT build

LatentWagen
OEM is the way to go for this application. When I replaced my LCA bushes 20k miles ago, I went OEM. They are fine now, and I'm not expecting to have to touch them for another couple of years. When I do, the Group-N bits will go in. LW's spec. Nightmaresmk
Prothane and powerflex make bushings for our cars as well. the prothane ones are probably the best in terms of longevity. they are the 1# bushing for most cars.
Mortal2None
BUMP Mine same issue. Passenger side is in the process of self destructing. I drove 2 hours to AZP last time to get these installed. Not looking forward to it again. (The drive, not AZP) I thought they were nearly bulletproof but oh well.
Nightmaresmk
I'm on year 4 with my avo bushings. 60k miles as my daily?
Mortal2None
I'm on year 4 with my avo bushings. 60k miles as my daily? Maybe there were some bad batches of AVO and WL LCA bushings then? I did mine in 2012 I think but my memory is shot as far as correlating events to years. I probably only have 30k miles on the bushings and have the same setup as the OP. (WL adjustable LCA's) Same issue as well where the bushing is falling apart. (Not as bad as his yet tho but getting there)
robmat
I may have the same issue going on. I installed my WL LCA's around 2012 as well and have a terrible clunking in the front end that I haven't been able to figure out yet, but this may be it. I'll take photos and report. cBax
Poly is not the ideal material for a bushing that flexes in the direction opposed to the mounting angle. Rubber or a spherical is best here. FWIW, if you are getting 2 years out of a poly bushing in this location, I'd consider that good. fahr_side
^ This. The hardened rubber bushing from Hardrace works really well in this location. Sent from a device using some software. Obligatory 'build thread' Increased capacity to 2.7 liters, still turbo, but no longer need spark plugs. The Hardrace stuff is pretty much a straight copy of the GrpN parts. Buy whichever is cheaper. Sent from a device using some software.
