imfamousG
so i have been looking around and i cant decide what to do. i know i want 2.25 piping after the headers but i cant find any high flow cats that can bolt up with 2.25 so i was maybe thinking buying this http://www.ebay.com/itm/Tsudo-UEL-98-05-Subaru-Impreza-RS-Header-with-flow-Cat-/290722423382?pt=Motors_Car_Truck_Parts_Accessories&hash=item43b0682256&vxp=mtr#ht_1947wt_1037 but thats 2.5 piping so then maybe after that do the 2.25 piping with the second cat ? idk what do you all think
Stang70Fastback
I'm going to contribute another question to this thread... you know. For bumping sake: If you just go with some Borla knockoff UEL headers on an otherwise stock exhaust, will you get that very, very slight increase in rumbliness that I am looking for without it really drawing any attention to the car? I want a sound that you don't notice because it doesn't seem mis-matched to the car, but still sounds at least a little less crappy than stock. Specifically, it would likely be UEL headers, and a stock exhaust with this muffler: [ame=http://www.amazon.com/Walker-Exhaust-55179-Muffler-Assembly-Quiet-FlowSS/dp/B000C94FPA/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1341448901&sr=8-1&keywords=55179+walker]Amazon.com: Walker Exhaust 55179 Muffler Assembly-Quiet-FlowSS: Automotive[/ame]
subikid90
With that setup you should hear a slight rumble. I had a similar set up (different muffler) on my black lgt and it was quiet but rumbled when you pulled away. -Subikid90 1997 Legacy GT 5spd & EJ251 w/EJ25D heads ~10.5CR 1998 Legacy GT Limited waiting for EJ22T hybrid swap
