coblue
I need to pull the motor from my 05. The turbo is gone and there are copper particles in the pan. Didn't see what I was looking for while searching. Is there a write up for removing and disassembling/reassembling the engine, or a good manual? Anyone in Denver want to lend a hand? Scruit
Removing ang engine is not someting you can do on your own simply based upon forum advice. If nothing else, get and read a haynes manual to give yourself an idea of what you're getting yourself in for. How much experience do you have? What equipment do you have? Do you have a cherry picker, etc?

Remove battery 2. Remove OEM Airbox 3. Remove Intercooler 4. Separate downpipe (post-turbo in case you are new to Subarus) from turbo 5. Remove undertray 6. Drain coolant and remove radiator 7. Remove accessory belts 8. Remove alternator 9. Disconnect fuel lines w/ special tool, or at FPR (careful with this one obviously) 10. Disconnect main harness near turbo and ground harness under intercooler. The Crimson Dynamo
MasAyinde
May want to try to move the A/C compressor out of the way if you can also so that you don't have to discharge the whole system.
coblue
Thanks all. That's enough to get me started. I have a fair bit of experience but it always helps to learn from those that have been there.
