Ok ya'll. Needing some more feedback. I am thinking of changing the overall shape of the tie down for something a bit more simpler which would make them cheaper. Which shape do you like better? #1 or #2?

1.)

Ok, I decided to redo the overall shape. Its something in between style #1 and #2. There is still a minor flare at the ends, but not as distinct as style #1. Making the part a tad thinner will bring the cost down a little bit.

are they going to be black like the pic or is there a choice of colors?

They will probably end up being a just a brushed aluminum. Identical to the very first pic on the thread. I could look into getting them anodized or powdercoated but that will up the price a bit more.

The new design is looking good. Shape looks a lot more modern and svelte. I prefer it greatly to the original drawings which were very 1970s and utilitarian. The new design is understated but appealing just like the LGT.

Agreed, the 2.5 and LGT need to be the same size. Matching the lettering on the back of the car doesn't work.

AWD will sell more than anything. Hell, AWD could be sold by dealers as aftermarket bits horrifically marked up

I think polished aluminum is perfect.

I think you should definately offer pcoating basic colors like black/white/red/blue but custom colors - unless someone has a specific color/mfr code can be a problem as computer screens vary as to how colors as displayed.

Same size as the gt. I'm not even sure why Subaru effed that up in the first place. Not sure if you posted these on nasioc but I'm sure the awd design will be a big hit over there as well.

Yeah, I think I will go back and make the 2.5 to be the same size as the GT.

Will you only be sticking with one logo on the tie-down overall? Or will you be offering a few?

I don't think the LGT would 'fit' my 2.5i

I think I'm going to offer a few. Probably order "AWD", the AA battery logo, "2.5 GT" or "LGT", and maybe "2.5 XT". That way folks will have some options.

I will also be offering custom one-off tie downs as an extra service, ie. forum screen name, etc. They won't be cheap, but some nice custom bling for your car if you so choose. Estimated price will be ~$125 plus shipping.

It's a sign that you need to get rid of the 2.5why

Oh, believe me, I've been seeing signs everywhere (mainly in this forum). I just don't have the means to do so (read: broke college student):(

Been there done that, and I can certainly sympathize. I bought my 2.5GT last year when I was still in college and I had to work 30-40 hours/week to pay for rent/gas/car on top of taking 18 credits and a senior design project (read: life sucked.)

Thanks, brethren! You gotta do what you gotta do

BOT:

I like the brushed aluminum look. And I'm torn between the AWD and battery logo.
