Always smells like dog food when you open the bag. I've had some really good home made venison jerkey before and picked up a bag in west virginia that was very similar to that. Every thanksgiving, I usually get the majority of our venison made into sausage. This year, I'm doing jerky. As much as I can. It's going to be a delicious 2012.
