I'm partial to these.

My 2 cents. Go with something other than a 5 spoke, since the stock rims already are. After that, it depens on the "flava" that you want (painted calipers or drilled/slotted rotors in the future, perhaps?). Gold on black is nice, though.:)

I like the six spokes on an LGT, but on an OB a thicker more substantial wheel looks better. Did you see the wheels Red Beast got?? They would look sweet on a black OBXT.

yep, nice wheels but the design is a bit "stylish" for my taste, I'm referring to the extra ornamentation on each spoke. Also those are 18x7 and I need 18x8 or 18x8.5 to run 245/45 tires.

Normally I think 5 spokes can look a tad bland. But actually, this is quite striking, and of all the posted wheels, speaks to me the best. It looks substantial, but less heavy than the stock widening-concave-spoke rims.

None of them looked horrible, but thinner "more delicate" spokes start to betray the thicker lines of the body cladding and fender flares, and look more out of place.

design-wise odd numbers look better than even numbered spokes. even numbered spokes balance the opposite side and give off less of a "tension" feel.

how about some of these? oh that's right, none left in Japan :D you'll have to wait till they get more.

It's uncanny how spot on your statements are as though you were reading my mind. or possibly that we both have similar design aesthetics? I think the Legacy wagons and sedans are top heavy, especially with the extended body overhangs front and rear. I wanted a wheel that would "hold up" the visual mass of the body which to me meant wheels that had thicker spokes. I also like simple designs, no ornamentation and the wheels that Red Beast suggests visually scream "look at me" in sort of an art deco way. I just checked ups tracking and the wheels should be here tomorrow. :)

but that "scream at me" doesn't scream that much.

i needed a to balance the "top" with the "bottom" also. if your eyes goes to the rims first the car won't feel as "top heavy".

i think stock rims look better than any of the others above. the first four are too spindly and don't have enough mass or "eye pull".
