AJW Performance
Hey guys, Just came across this thread today actually. To clear up some questions, The donors will need to be 02-07 WRX or 02-07 NA or 02-05 Forester XT/na. The Legacys will not work. You can register these cars legally in the US. http://www.bipac.net/page.asp?content=tag_title_toolbox&g=SEMAGA Kit will be around 9k Plus the cost of your donor. No paint on this car. They are doing the viper style gel coat so it will come painted already for you. Theyve been busy finishing up the body panels, making sure theyre perfect. SEMA will be the release of their "Race" version. The coupe will come a little after. I wouldnt be surprised if they start sales in February or after. One things for sure, this will be one heck of a quick car!!! www.818donors.com

Mega Users paintpollz Posted August 29, 2012 Mega Users Share Posted August 29, 2012 I want one real bad, but I think a house comes before a car. but then.....maybe not...... Maybe I need to buy the house to build the car. That's the right way to think about it. "Remember Danny - Two wrongs don't make a right but three rights make a left." AJW Performance
When we were at their open house in June, a gentleman stopped by the booth with a picture that had the construction of his new garage with a sign in the middle that said "818 work shop". Pretty funny what kind of hype this car started!
Mega Users paintpollz Posted August 30, 2012 Mega Users Share Posted August 30, 2012 Incredible. I love it. I can't wait to build a sicky garage. For an 818. AJW Performance
Below is an image of the 818R, which will be released in a few weeks at SEMA. The street version will be a 2 seater, and have a more mellow roll bar rather than the cage you see on this one. A soft top and roll up windows soon to follow as well (hard top coupe down the road). http://i167.photobucket.com/albums/u160/awalla5150/gameover.jpg

rodan
That's HOT... But, I'll keep my Miata... http://i5.photobucket.com/albums/y185/RodanAZ/Miata/DSC_6987.jpg don't think the 818 will work out well for a week long ragtop road trip. That doesn't, however, rule out lots of drooling, and thinking of building one anyway...

rodan
where do you hook up to tow this miata? Have you ever dealt with the staff at some tracks? Actually, having the tow locations marked is required with many track orgs.
