Subie2.5i
I am picking up some '11 wrx wheels monday just wondering what size tires would be best not to rub? Would the stock 235/45 work or should I do 225/45 to be sure?
TRSCobra
The 235/45's will be ~1" larger in diameter than the stock 215/45's, so you might want either the 225/45 or a 235/40, which is a bit harder to find and more expensive. Also, 245/40 would fit the wheel fine and is the correct diameter, but with the offset of those wheels, you may run into clearance issues on the inside. khalil
Fit no issues on my car (GPmoto coilovers), 2011 wrx wheels with oe dunlops. In case anyone is still wondering how it would turn out: http://i.imgur.com/EJQeQ.jpg
scoobie2.0
At that angle, they kinda look like the 06-07 spec b wheels. Still looks good tho.

BAC5.2
That is a REALLY wide tire for that rim... SCHM1AN
Agreed. That's one of the widest tires that will fit on the 8" wheel
ean611
That is a REALLY wide tire for that rim... http://www.tirerack.com/tires/tires.jsp?tireMake=Dunlop&tireModel=Direzza+Sport+Z1+Star+Spec&partnum=44WR7Z1SS&vehicleSearch=false&fromCompare1=yes See specs. 245/40-17 is measured on 8.5 inch rim, with a recommend rim size of 8-9.5 17x8 WRX rim should be fine. Also, the outer diameter is almost identical to the stock 215/45-
BAC5.2
Ah. I thought the '11 WRX wheels were 17x7.5. A 245 is just fine on an 8" wheel. ean611
Update: I'll have pics if people want them, but it seems that they will require a slight fender roll. I'm on STI pinks and JDM Rev A Bilsteins. The clearance is microscopic, so here's hoping my paint doesn't crack on a fender roll tomorrow. Should be a very minor roll to make it fit. harrymaneuvers
Before anybody asks... no they didnt fit... rear inside of the wheel rubbed the strut... but nothing a 5 or 10mm spacer wouldnt fix. Bought these for the 04 wagon obviously but couldnt resist throwing them on the leggy. http://i773.photobucket.com/albums/yy18/harrymaneuvers/The%20Leggy/011.jpg
