I was browsing through vividracing.com's Legacy section and found a link saying they were about to start selling Liberal bodykits for the USDM Legacy. Well I looked up Liberal and stumbled on all kinds of toys:

like the Angel/Eagle eyes. As long as they can come with bright Amber LEDs (like an OEM Marker light) I don't like the Eye-lines. I just don't get why people like that on a Legacy. They have great looking headlights. It doesn't have the WRX's problem of odd shaped lenses.

Like the mesh Grille, and the edge detailing. Looks better finished than the Zero-Sports mesh grille for GT Spec B. It looks darn-near OEM

If I ever get a little more comfortable financially, and can afford to put the K2 M5-looking bumper on my future legacy, this might be the mesh grille I would go with. However, I would put the oval L7 badge in the center, and an STi badge offset to the side and lower.

I'd have to cut off the liberal badge... I am after all a conservative. :D (ducks from thrown pies.)

The parts do look well built. Even the front lip spoiler looks pretty good. (STi piece looks a tad bit better, though.)

I haven't dealt with Vivid Racing personally, but there is a lot of talk over at NASIOC about them. They lost vendor status not to long ago and many people have complained significantly about their business practices.

Among other things, the most complaints that i saw were over advertising in stock items, when really they needed to be imported. People were being charged before the items were even ordered, not told of how long it would be, and given a very hard time about trying to refund a purchase when they found out this situation.

Be careful...

I would bet money its just the JDM parts which they are importing.

If companies were making specific USDM LGT parts, i would think they would be advertising and selling over here a lot more. As it stands now i would think that they are just importing the parts and sending you on your way to make the custom modifications necessary to make them fit.

I cant speak for the rear but that front bumper is obviously a complete bumper replacement so it will fit. However the rear looks more like a valance. so that may be an issue.

I like the black legacy.

And damn them for not having the rear intermittent wiper as an option here!!

Don't forget, there is a larger bumper beam underneath the skin, along with different foam inserts, on the North American Legacy. There is another thread on the forum somewhere about somebody fitting a Japanese front bumper to the USDM Legacy. Lots of little details are different. If they were the same, I'd probably be shipping aftermarket bumpers over in lots of 10 right now!

yes, the front bumper is definetly NOT just bolt it on and go. Someone on the board did in fact get it to work, but there was some cutting and custom work to get it to fit.

As Paul said, if it was that easy i am sure many more of us would have it....well that and the cost after shipping too.

I've been going over shipping options - if we got a group buy going, we'd be able to cut costs drastically via a sea freight order. Probably would keep shipping down under $150usd per "set" of bumper, bumper beam and assorted hardware. But the individual cost per bumper is high, just given Japanese pricing.
