elib
Any suggestions on how to go from a 3" v-band to a stock exhaust? I have a stock flange but I need the DP on the car before it can be welded in place to get the rotation correct. The local muffler guys won't do this for me because it means removing a cat, which they won't do. Should I use adapters? Fit it myself at home, mark where the bolts should go, then take it to a shop to have it welded? An adapter would be the easiest I guess, but will there be enough room in there? BAC5.2
Just get a 3" to 2.5" reducer and weld that to a V-band flange, and cut the flange off the catback and weld that in it's place. Done. Max Capacity
Go to the auto parts store and pick up some header flanges, or ask the guy's there for a 2 bolt flange that will fit. I can't remember if there's 2 or 3 bolts on the oem cat. 305,600miles 5/2012 ej257 short block, 8/2011 installed VF52 turbo, @20.8psi, 280whp, 300ftlbs. (SOLD). CHECK your oil, these cars use it. integroid
Wait a minute...how did you get a DP with a 3" V-Band outlet? I would just put the DP on and drive it to the muffler shop. It will be loud and backfire but it wont be any worse than the ricers in their Hondas
