  1. ya right, by the time my daughter is old enough where I have a second to think about fun things you'll be having your first
  2. Nope, I'm the only LGT, three STi, few WRX, there is an OB XT that an older lady drives. The one that kills me is the lady in the QSM 2.5i with a wingless trunk who won't swap with me! I'm ready to go swap trunks in the middle of the night or something 49 is cool, someday I'll take a group out to the pike road as well. Pretty sweet cruise. Basically 49 to right before camptonville, take a right and head to pike. Newer road with lots of corners.
  3. Could it have been a dirty QSM? Flaps and black rims? That was probably me. I'm surprised to get sighted on my own turf I drive through the canyon over the south fork of the yuba from there 2x a day usually on week days. It's my personal race track
  4. Blue LGT on Highway 49 just before North San Juan. I passed a long line of cars and you were at the front.

  6. Lots of these were told to me by my mom as "confucious says" jokes from her child hood. The one that I always remember was "Woman who stands on head has crack up". Some other corny ones: Grease monkey who go to bed without bathing wake up oily in the morning. Man who run in front of car get tired. Man who eat many prunes get good run for money. Baseball is wrong - man with four balls cannot walk. War doesn't determine who is right, war determines who is left. Wife who put husband in doghouse soon find him in cathouse. Man who fight with wife all day get no piece at night. It take many nails to build crib but one screw to fill it. Man who drive like hell bound to get there. Man who lives in glass house should change clothes in basement. Man who fishes in other man's well often catches crabs. Don't eat the snow where the huskies go! Support bacteria -- it's the only culture some people have! Man who lose key to apartment not get new key. He who sitteth on an upturned tack shall surely rise. Even the greatest of whales is helpless in middle of desert. Man who sit on tack get point! Man who jumps off cliff, jumps to conclusion!
  7. lol, I was behind that exact car last night on hwy 49 and I was thinking about it vs a "murdered" car. Not saying I hate the wrapped cars but it's something to think about. And it's definitely going to be the "hip" trend for a while.
  8. the kids call it "murdered". *sigh*.... my buddy just had it done to his boxster. Not sure how I feel about the flat look. Funny thing was he saw my new powder coated wheels after they get really dirty with sand/dust from a snowy road and thought the flat color looked "awesome".... hahah The real problem with it is in a place like this you just look like one more hill billy with a primered car.
  9. Lol, at least I got that it was a wagon. I was trying to follow directions from the cell gps.
  10. About 39 minutes ago I passed a silver wagon, pretty sure it was an OB XT as it waspulling on to truxel rd in sacramento. Tints, rims, looked lowered. Nice looking ride. I was in my spec.B going into the lot. We exchanged V's.
  11. I'm going to say 07 BSM (don't think it was QSM) LGT on Highway 20 just getting into Grass Valley. The driver definately saw me and we exchanged waves, smiles, thumbs up etc. Debaged, tint, think they were aftermarket rims but it's hard to tell @ 70 mph. I was hoping you were going to follow me when I got off so I could show off my new TMIC and brag to someone about my Infamous tune who would actually care! Anyways, your ride was looking good.
  12. Lol you told me. Wait till a baby comes along, then you will really lose your mind.
  13. He's engaged so it must have been pretty good!
  14. Yesterday I saw a white LGT with tints, black 19" rims and a plate that said "turbo boxer" but I don't remember exactly how it was spelled, in front of the Safeway in Grass Valley around 10amish.
  15. Believe me, with the number of subies up here any more won't be noticed, at all. Probably 25% of the cars here are NA subies. Another 50% ford trucks and 25% other makes. - Eli
  16. I'm here this weekend and gone next weekend. I'll PM you guys my cell #, give me a call when your in the area, we'll go for a cruise or play cars in a parking lot somewhere - Eli
  17. No kidding, there are a million up here (grass valley) but I don't think any are on this site. Someone prove me wrong! There is at least one other spec.B here and quite a few LGTs.
  18. ?!?!?!?!? Your car is way nicer Mark! That thing was beat, but it drove pretty well. I test drove it and a new WRX one night in December. That car won me over to the spec.B, and I was a little disappointed when I got in my car the first time. Engine response wasn't nearly the same. Of course I didn't know about the stages etc at that time...
  19. Ok, who bought the 07 spec.B from Roseville Subaru in January 2010? It was QSM and I'm not sure it had stock rims on it. I test drove it before I bought mine and I'd love to know what stage it was at. I'm sure it had aftermarket exhaust and I'm thinking it was at least stage 1. Anyone buy it or know who did?
  20. Uhh, am I the only person who doesn't like driving around with a rack when it's not needed? Mine stays in the garage unless I'm going snowboarding etc. Takes about 15 minutes to put on but I would rather not have the wind noise and reduced mileage. I guess it's just part of my night before snowboarding ritual, along with waxing my board, getting all my gear together, ipod loaded and charged etc. I also usually am putting on my snow tires so I spend an hour in the garage the night before and I'm all kitted out. I know some people like the look of the rack but the negatives are too much for me!

  22. dirt won't be a big deal. I don't want to beat my car, but I drive on dirt roads all the time to get places out here. I'm going to be doing some scouting missions here to check out a couple of new roads through the woods that they paved recently I heard. Obviously we'll wait till the weather dries out a bit before doing this. I don't think we need to be exclusive for this. If he can keep up he's welcome
  23. ok, how about this. Once the weather dries up again we organize a 2 part run up here in the mountains. I'll take you guys on some sweet *PAVED* roads for the first 1/2 of the day at least. We can end up somewhere where we can get a beer and burger. Then anyone who won't take their leggy on the dirt can head home and the rest of us can go for some real rally driving This will be way out of cellphone coverage so everyone should have their spare tire and we should probably carry radios so we can contact each other.
  24. LOL..... What do you guys mean no dirt!?!?! These cars are designed for it. They eat it up! I guess if you haven't driven on dirt much before but it's so much more fun that tarmac!
  25. I'd be happy to lead some trips through the foothills. I grew up here and could take you guys on some awesome tours through the canyons, on pavement and dirt. This is WRC worthy stuff. We can plan 1/2 day trips and end up somewhere that we could have a beer and something to eat before heading back home. This is all within 1 hour of Sacramento. Let me know if anyone is interested.
