TrueWhiteBoy
I've seen a bunch of threads discussing the clunk when it's accelerating, but what about when it's decelerating? It seems that when I'm slowing down when I get down to about 10 mph I hear a clunk in the rear. It only seems to occur when slowing down/stopping, but not when accelerating. Could it be the rear diff? Would it be something to worry about? If not, when should it become something to worry about?
fishbone
Could be the rear diff. I'd check the level of the fluid to make sure it's filled right. While you're at it, might as well change it if you haven't done it recently. I think the rear-end clunk is generally cured by using mount inserts. snow05gtRI
are you hearing the "click" from the shifter? when you get to around 10mph the shifter lock flips and you can hear an audible click.
cseagle08
sounds like just normal slack in the driveline, probably nothing to worry about.
