hmmrdwn
Oooooh! Dang. At least you know the problem and won't be surprised by the dealer.
vhtran
I took the car to the dealer last Friday and showed the manager and his tech what it feels like and he agreed that I was right and possibly the cushioned was wrongly cut. The dealer is ordering the new seat for me and hopefully has it replaced soon. BTW, I also had Subaru of America called the dealer to make sure they treat me right. =)

vhtran
Mine is a cable like the other, it wasn't broken. Just that it has a faulty cushion.
GravityGear
Is this a mechanical thing? My lumbar is a pneumatic bladder. It's a cable. I was unaware that there were any 5th gen seats with a bladder in them. Pics?
GTEASER
It feels like an air bladder. Maybe not tho, I haven't had any issues or ventured a look-see. DugsSin
Do we all have this same button? Mine sounds like it runs off a small electric motor.
FLlegacy
Yes that is the lumbar control, and it does run off an electric motor. But is not an air bladder, unfortunately.
DrD123
I believe the 10-11 button has the icon on it showing that it's for the Lumbar, but that went away for the 12+ (same button, but without the picture on it) It's definitely a cable actuated mechanism - not at all uncommon to break. Repair procedure has been documented in this thread: http://legacygt.com/forums/showthread.php/2010-lgt-broken-lumbar-177986.html basically, you can get the OEM parts and replace the broken ones, or use chain quick-links for what should be a longer lasting repair. frankie1220
Used a key ring because I didn't have a heavy duty hanger or metal to use. Hopefully this holds. I have a 2013 Legacy Sent from my SM-G955F using Tapatalk
