vr4Legacy
Congrats!! I'll be there in a couple years and halfway through my mortgage too (thank goodness for great rates and a declining housing market!! ) ^agreed. Banks/CU are a necessary evil. As long as you keep track of your finances and stay on top of your accounts they are all the same.

lilrabbit129
I'm still at halfway also. Won't be done with payments for another few years. Just got into a mortgage too. 29 years, 10 months left on that one... haha
spec.B Dream
I was down under 14k but just refinanced to 19k. Penfed offered to drop my rate from 3.9 to 2.9, but I had to take out 5k more than I owed. I put that on my wife's Outlander which is at 5.5%. We're down to 1,600 on the Outlander, and that will be paid off in January. After making $800 monthly payments for the next 2.5 years, I hope to join the ranks of those with paid off cars in 2013. PeterJMC
I paid my car off in October 2010 and it was a great feeling! I then purchased a new car a few months later in Dec 2010 to experience the feeling again in a few years down the road
