  1. I tiled my basement, roughly 400sq ft, with cheap ones. I had problems with my knees and back for weeks afterwards.
  2. hopefully i can get there quicker than 40 mins or i may be in... http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-AQc_h4_WWnQ/Uk9eaPzzYOI/AAAAAAAADAY/aKfWlw0H1jQ/s1600/20110906blueballPA+(Copy).JPG
  3. @Draftsman2009 i will be on the look out for you. i am in the ABP with the STIG sticker on the driver rear quarter window.
  4. http://540ratblog.wordpress.com/2013/06/20/motor-oil-wear-test-ranking/ Some interesting data and testing, I would be interested on your takes on it.
  5. Hang in there. I imagine you have been preparing her for 18 years to be able to handle this stuff. I was hospitalized while in college for pneumonia and my parents couldn't make it for a day and it killed them but it was good for me to have to put on my big boy pants. All else fails get in the car and go...
  6. Go to school today to drop my daughter of at pre k and they all have things they are thankful for and I see the usual but then there is my daughter's. She is thankful for her daddy's "subie". Lol, I love it.
  7. Good luck to you and your wife! I assume they scheduled the c-section before they would anticipate on her going into labor to be safe. I can't believe no one else commented.... but do try and give her pelvis a rest.
  8. Roger. This case it will save me an inordinate amount of time taking the rusted shields off and trying to cut it out.
  9. Thank you! I am normally skeptical of these "wonder products" but the reviews are good for it. I will post back my result.
  10. So attempted this Sunday with a small hiccup. The motor mount nut was rusted and crumbled on on outer portion. I have a center portion of the nut firmly in place and stopping the mount from coming free. It looks like I will have to drop the exhaust, which it and the heat shields are rusted together, to get a grinder in there to cut the nut. Any other suggestions? I tried hammering on a socket to see if it would budge but I probably made it tighter. Thanks.
  11. lunch at Carrabbas, changed the oil and steamed blue crabs that night. Good day with the wife and kids.
  12. great pic! one of my favorite of my daughter is her behind the wheel of my car in a princess dress and crown. she was "helping" me change the oil.
  13. O geez I was a little choked up at my daughters pre-k graduation... I can't imagine high school about ready to leave home one. Good luck and blame it on the allergies.
  14. Did the same thing and felt horrible. It was the scared response that killed me. It actually prompted me to really develop a strategy and method for discipline and not just in heat of the moment.
  15. I think it honestly depends on the daughter and boyfriend. I have seen instances where either approach works. I think 99% of the time it is a over done process of "cleaning the gun" when they arrive. I do think that a little uncertainly about the fathers ability to wreak havoc is beneficial. You're right in that there are probably much better methods to ensure your daughters safety and security.
  16. That was exactly our concern. Both parents have enough resources to make it a hellish court battle and I don't want my kids involved in that. Now our wishes are iron clad and can't be changed. It was a very detailed process, I was overwhlemed with all of the choices you have to make but I guess it is better to spell it out ahead of time. We basically had everything but a few personal/family items sold off and the money put up for their future use. Since both parents live the same school district it was easy enough to equally divide time up. As we get older I am sure it will change but for now I feel secure about my wishes being followed.
  17. lol... way a head of you and stocking up.
  18. Just found this thread... I enjoyed the stories and pics. The wife and I met with an estate/will attorney recently and we were able to spell out exactly what arrangement we wanted in the event of both of our death. In PA at least, the parent gets to make the decision and grandparents don't have any direct rights, specifically that would contridict the parents wishes. We specifically laid out the living arrangements, custody rights and financial wishes should anything happen. We wanted to make sure it wouldn't turn into a battle of the grandparents for time if we both weren't here. Anyways... I have 2 kiddos; a 4 year old girl and a 1 year old boy. Enjoy the heck out of family time with them. We just got back from a week in Disneyworld and they loved it. Both have been fairly relaxed and easy going, only getting upset for the normal tired/ hungry times. My daughter has recently been busting at the seems to help me in the garage. So she sits on my creeper and hands me tools as I need them. All while in a princess gown and wearing a crown. Melts my heart and makes me want to practice my "gun speech" for when she starts dating.
  19. Good info,i need to replace the seal on my pan. I have cleaned off the area a few times to make sure this is where the leak is and it seems to be in the same place each time. 2 questions. First, where do you place the jack? In the link provided to the Killer Bee site it looked like it was right on the header. I have a regular floor jack and the jack with the car. any suggestions? Second, how far did you have to put it up for clearance? Thank you!
  20. I did clean the MAF last night, haven't cleaned the IAT yet. From the searching it also appears to possibly be a spark plug/ wire issue. i am going to run to autozone and have then pull any codes. thank you!
  21. still a definite problem, it will stall after letting off the accelerator. it will idle okayish when i start it as long as i don't touch the gas and at red lights i have to keep my foot rested on the pedal to keep it alive. any thoughts?
  22. Didn't see any, i pulled all of the tubes out and soap tested them. what i did notice is that the PCV valve was full of oil and didn't rattle. i cleaned it out again and it did run better but still a slight "almost" stall after accelerating and letting off. i suppose i should just replace it, i am at 130k+. there was oil in the vacuum lines coming from the valve covers, it may have been residual though.
