peteyjr
Stumbled across this: http://www.progressauto.com/products/sfID1/13/sfID2/58/sfID3/131/productID/362 Unclear if these are camber bolts? and what benefit they serve us ?
CDN 2.5i
Yes, they're camber bolts. They normally allow you a greater range of adjustment for front camber over the stock camber bolts. I've got H&R camber bolts but waiting until the spring to install them.
CDN 2.5i
Thought I would add that I use Progress rear sway bar reinforcement brackets - good value when compared to the other options available. Perhaps not as pretty but stout and do the job...
peteyjr
Yea not as stout as the AVO's but nice indeed. I have the progress rear bar. I don't see how they can claim less tire wear with increased neg camber.
peteyjr
Regardless I think I will get these as I'm looking for a little more neg camber to go along with my autocross and Track vision this year. I plan to increase from the 4 autocrosses and 1 track day I did last year.
CDN 2.5i
I don't see how they can claim less tire wear with increased neg camber. Not sure where you get that claim... all they state is that you can get 'optimum' tire wear with the increased range of adjustment that these provide... doesn't necessarily mean adding negative camber and getting less tire wear. Just that you have more adjustment available to offset tire wear if that is a concern.
peteyjr
I see, dropping a car usually increases neg camber and these will also allow for a greater range of adjustability and can offset that if desired. Thanks for clearing that up.
NZGT
My cars lowered and after an alignment I see the front camber is 0.0. I would have though I'd get a least -1? Is this normal to have no neg camber on these cars?
Underdog
Chances are they set the camber to 0.0 when you had the alignment done. I had to tell my shop that if it wasn't set to my specs versus the OEM spec then I wouldn't pay for it before they would agree to do the job. NZGT
So OEM specs are 0.0 up front? No wonder the handle like crap from the factory
Underdog
Well, according to my manual it is -0*15' +/-45', <45' variation left-to-right, for the front. -0*40' with the same tolerance for the rear. So yes, add a little caster with some offset PU bushings, dial in some more negative camber, and enjoy driving! The Crimson Dynamo
NZGT
Thanks. I'll get some of these bolts and get it sorted!
peteyjr
I was able to get -1.5 with my stock bolts so an upgrade isn't necessary unless you want or need more.
NZGT
Thanks, I've emailed my tire shop to ask why my car came back with 0.0 and to see if they can get -1.0 out of the stock parts
