VDC Head Unit - Pricing (MP3 capability for those who care)

$700 for the VDC deck is insane - for $400 i got a CD/MP3 deck with dual aux inputs (ran stock 6 disc changer into one, 40Gig MP3 player into the other) and more options/features than you can shake a stick at.

if you're willing to connect some wires together with the harness adapters, its definitely the best bet. you'll have to remove all the trim to get the VDC radio in there anyway, so its not a whole lot more work to put an aftermarket stereo in the cubby.

You can also get the VDC deck from a junkyard for around $350...an option anyway.

I've lurked on this thread for some time now... Has anyone yet tried the new MP3 head unit with the Spec B steering wheel? Do you need to do the run 4 wire mod that's mentioned in another thread or does the pre-wiring actually work for it?
