Quick Strike
Brian, Sorry to hear about your troubles. Do you own the car outright? I work in Allentown and am looking for a Spec B. I was hoping to find one w/o mods as I would like a warranty for a while, but power is nice too! Has the warranty been voided? Is the title clear? Has it ever been damaged in an accident? Can you list the vin? Are there any issues or problems with the car (burning/leaking oil, noisy trans, ect)? What are you looking to get for this vehicle? Thanks - Steve in PA
Brian1
One accident, 2 doors replaced, no frame damage, nice paint job by quality shop that does exotics. No leaks! They test that when threy tune the car 1st. As far a warranty it depends if dealer is mod friendly, and if you beat up your car. I've just had a seat replaced under the warranty, so it's certainly not voided. If say the exhaust goes, it's aftermarket & it's on you. I have the stocker w/ the sale, so you can replace it easy. If you blow the engine by redlining it or overboosting it, it's your issue. They may cover it, depending on the dealer & any signs of abuse. If the tranny goes, they should replace it. If the clutch burns out from poor driving, never covered. The stock Spec B was a slow pig. My '05 LGT 5 speed was much faster. It needs the mods/tune or it is very disappointing. Owned outright. Clear title. VIN: 4S38L696083212370 Only issue is keeping under the speed limit. VERY PRETTY CAR.
timmahh
Posting this to be helpful so please don't take it the wrong way, but it's going to be hard to sell a used [w/ body repair work done] modded 08 spec.b for $32k when you can buy a brand new 08 spec.b off a lot for $28k.. Brian1
The car stickered at about $35 and I have about $15K in the car. There aren't just mods. There are winter and summer tires on Spec B wheels, radar, a great sound system, window tint, winter wiper blades, full size new spare, tint, on & on. The damage didn't even require an allignment. Car runs straight and smooth. Guess you are comparing a brand new tug boat with a car track ready. Probably looks newer than the new car on the lot. SCSpecB
Definitely a fair price for mileage and mods

nor_ium
Brian1, sorry to hear your bad news. The car sound like a great one. Good luck selling it, and all the best for your wife!
93lc
Brian I think I purchased my Accessport from you, after you just bought your SepcB. Sorry to hear about your wife's diagnosis... I can personally vouch for this gentleman's passion for keeping a car as it should. Unfortunately sometimes other priorities come first... If I had the money to buy your car I would do it in a heartbeat...
Brian1
Thanks! Yes that was the accessport from my '05 LGT which I had at stage 2 93 Octane. I sold your buddy the quad mufflers from my LGT shortly afterwards. I remember flashing your car for you, and then going for a ride with the new mapping. Added allot of power. How's it running? Did u ever do a downpipe to go stage 2? Also, I saw your car art Dr. Ralph's after a tree or branch damaged your wagon's roof. I use a body shop right up the street, behind the old Domino Dinner. Enzo is Italian, and does old world quality work. I highly recommend him! He installed my new Avo grill as well. Best regards!
GEE-OTTO
and probably taken care of better than a car that's been sitting in the sun for 2 years and test driven by countless manual newbs... Good point! Sorry i'm a newbtard and as with all things automotive underestimate the cost! Don't Back pedal even if you are a newb thats a fair statement. But mods dont help the value in the eyes of the bank or practical buyer so you have a point. But from our point of view the mods installed ready to go make that price ok. Body damage just those two words are enough to keep lenders away and the warranty issue if you trust Subaru to do anything useful to your car
Brian1
And the point is? The body damage was replacing 2 door shells. The car is perfect paint wise, and looks brand new. I have no issues with the car, and I'm a perfectionist. Drives GREAT. It is a clean mean machine ready for an enthusiast. I'd only sell it to someone that appreciates the modifications and looks. The warranty depends upon your relationship with your service advisor. If the mod wasn't the cause, they need to honor the warranty. That's the law. I just had a new seat installed. The mods weren't the cause, no problem. If my exhaust goes, it's my problem, as its afterrmarket. They can tell if a car was abused. I'm 63, not an 18 year old dragster. I have no urge to burn out a clutch or engine mounts or to blow a head gasket. Just want a fast fun car that has lots of power when I want to use it. This car has more torque down low than a 911S, and drives like a baby if you want it to be gentle. Smooth tune.
