rao
Find another "tuner". Rob IF YOU CARE ABOUT YOUR CAR YOU SHOULD NEVER DRIVE IT

Infamous1
Follow the wires, if they are still intact there is no reason it shouldn't go into test mode.
John M
1) You connect to the OBD port on the drivers side. 2) The green connectors are on the passenger side, near the console, above the trim piece. You connect them while flashing, disconnect them when done. He should have at least been able to connect with a logger or something to make sure communication was working. That doesn't require the green connectors.
bdickey058
he was able to connec tto the obd port but could not find the connection tot he green connectors b/c it had a wire running from it to someplace that he couldnt find. anyone have a wiring diagram on a 05 legacy gt
m sprank
You plug the two green connectors into each other. Turn on the ignition. The fan will start to run. The car is ready to flash. Disconnect the two green connectors from each other when finished.
bdickey058
thats what he did and the fan would not start. ahhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh if i can just get romraider and eculogger to work then infamous can tune it but hell i'm dumb with computers
m sprank
Sorry, tough to diagnose without being there. Look for vacation pics of 2005. Should be able to trace wiring from those. Not sure how the connection got damaged. Kinda sounds like you have GREMLINS! I would bury the car and find a new one.
mwiener2
there are 2 white connectors under the driver side. They need to be unplugged. My Mods List (Updated 8/22/17) 2005 Outback FMT Running on Electrons

mwiener2
on 99.9% of cars they are unplugged as they leave the assembly line floor. Then they aren't ever used for anything. spec.B Dream
Just a thought, the key must be in the "On" position to get the fan to turn on, right?
