Ebay headers

well the exhaust leak is gone.. I did not take it on the highway near a road barrier however I did hear the sewing machine at idle but then again I was right up on the headers when the car was running..

You can feel the exhaust pulses more in the shifter no sound improvements with the stock exhaust..

The funny idle is still around but not as bad with the exhaust leak getting ready to hop out to make a quick video and sound clip.

cheap ass gasket replaced with OEM Subaru for around $10

Video!

The camera was decent enough for a $100 camera to pick the sound up.. No crazy driving as when I was leaving this school parking lot I saw a cop car hidden deep in the bushes which was pretty odd if you ask me...

Depends. I used to go to a place that would actually put the car on a floor jack and get down on hands and knees and check everything out. This place was also a service station. My theory is that they were trying to get more business for the service shop by rejecting cars for trivial, easy to fix problems then offering to fix it.

The place I go to now is just an inspection station, they don't do any service. They also own a car wash next door. They're great. They just walk around the car, do all the safety inspection stuff, tap on the bondo lightly to make sure it's somewhat solid, rev the engine to see how loud the car is, and put a sticker on the car.

When I got my last sticker I had an exhaust leak. I also had my $23 Thrush muffler from Advance Autoparts. They failed it for noise, so I welded a bead on there to seal it up and took it back. He said the car was still abit loud (Due to the muffler) but held a rag over the tip to see if it was leaking. It wasn't, so he gave me a sticker anyway. MA is very picky when it comes to loud exhausts.
