I dont think this pic is all that accurate to what it looks like. But if I gave you this other one and told you 32% you wouldn't beleive me. http://photos-g.ak.fbcdn.net/photos-ak-sf2p/v188/110/60/671785480/n671785480_2382958_9314.jpg "The penalty good men pay for indifference to public affairs is to be ruled by evil men." - Plato
markc0220k
darkfox1, your first pic really show that it hasn't been tinted at all, and it's looked like my original 35% tint from dealer! how about your rear window? same 32%? I haven't heard a choice as 32%, options are usually 70%, 35%, 30%, 20% and 15%. mark
grimsleeper
what's the legal limit in Texas? Cops don't care much for 20% in the front from my experience;) Just make yourself seen if/when you get pulled over and most cops won't hassle ya. Also pics aren't the best way to compare tint %'s - there's too many variables like time of day, camera settings, environment, etc.
Jerboa113
I didnt have any tint from the dealer. Thats not a factory option. its 32% on sides and back, nothing front or sunroof. No reason. The sunroof is already factory tinted. I dont open it during the summer anyway. I keep the little door closed over it to keep heat out. markc0220k
thought yours is 32%? my 30% is just fine. but before, when i had 20% at the back, i didn't have trouble to see "headlight" behind me on the road, just couldn't regonize what type of car it is.. you know... -- police car! mark
PineyLGT805
So the reason its expensive at some and cheaper at others is this... The cheaper places are probably not doing the ceramic film on the rear window. Ever notice we don't have antenna's? Our radio antennas are on the rear window and for it to pick up a good signal over the tint you need that ceramic layer (that is what my tint shop said and it makes sense). It was an extra $100 at my tint shop. I had 16% in the front at first and 6% in the rear (what my receipt said). It $300 total for all the way around. I got a ticket a year later and they took it off and put darker tint back on (the fronts only of course) for free! That is what i like... customer service and on top of that i have a lifetime warranty on all 5 windows. Thought id throw in my two cents. Here are some pics with 16% in the front and then some with 6% all around. 16% http://i291.photobucket.com/albums/ll287/pineyLGT805/2457977513_e44a4abdc4_o.jpg http://i291.photobucket.com/albums/ll287/pineyLGT805/2457977551_cea3aea55a_o.jpg http://i291.photobucket.com/albums/ll287/pineyLGT805/2458807410_e136004812_o.jpg 6%(these were taken on my Iphone so not as good as the pics before) http://i291.photobucket.com/albums/ll287/pineyLGT805/lgt2.jpg http://i291.photobucket.com/albums/ll287/pineyLGT805/lgt1.jpg http://i291.photobucket.com/albums/ll287/pineyLGT805/lgt3.jpg

Jerboa113
at 18% it might be cheaper just to buy a can of spraypaint and spray them black. markc0220k
at 18% it might ... I mean its one thing if you dont want people seeing in.. but unless you have cat eyes.. I dont know how you see out. i agree.. my rear was 20% from dealer before. it was darker than what i have now ( 30%, ceramic. ) at night i could just see some light behind me but i could barely regonised what car they are.. and umm... 18%, i think it's more hard to see?? after couple weeks with my 30% all around (work at nite/ drove around after dinner .. ), i found my 30% is kinda make sense now. seeing from outside-in is slightly darker than seeing from inside-out. and heat block is even better than my uncle's 05 forester with darker tint film. mark

markc0220k
i think our cars' appearance is very depend on what kinda of rims it wears. e.g. Tenzo, BBS, ProDrive, Volks, even stock spec B ... ! JUST DON'T KNOW WHY they don't have option/come with the add-on front air dam! plus ... i'm so agree on an one (forgot where i saw that gt/pic)'s license plate - "LUXSTI", lol! mark
Jerboa113
rims make a big difference on any car.. case in point.. look at the honda civic with hubcaps.. and then the honda civic with SI rims.. si looks way better right?
