Enkei STI wheels

Can anyone offer any thoughts about these wheels on an ABP LGT wagon? They seem to be pretty light, but how strong are they? Will they clear Brembos?

A pretty penny each.. (ouch).

Thinking of going back to a 17" rim as I've moved to a city with more potholes than where I was when I bought the Prodrive PFF7's a while ago..

Oh, one more thing - are there any third party facsimiles for them? $500CDN is hella spensive!

this set will clear brembos for sure, the first set i'm not certain but i would believe so?

as for construction, they're both made by enkei so i would think they'd hold up quite well but i mean honeslty, if you're going to be paying such a high price for the wheels, you could afford a set of 5 rotas and even if you busted a rim you'd still be saving money.

as far as i know, japanparts is really the only place to get these

forester is only 17x7 i believe

the ones from japan parts are 17x7.5 or 18x7.5

if you did just want the look you could def get the forester wheels. the forester forums have used sets that pop up once in a while. also you can order them OEM from subaru or from a website that sells subaru parts, they run for about $1300 new i think for a set

yes to Brembo fitment. They are Enkei MAT technology...same as RPF-1's or any of the Racing line. Hell....'06 WRX wheels are Enkei MAT as well.

I think they're the best looking OEM wheel in recent years from Subaru. There's a set of Spec RA-R wheels for sale on Nabisco....same wheel but in white. Not sure of bolt pattern but probably 5x114.3

i used to have a set of 19" enkei they were the lightweight tunning series, they were like 20lbs each. i dont remember what process they used on the rims but they were stong. went through potholes and dirt roads, never had a problem with them denting. the only dent i had was from a blowout from 70mph, and that made a small leak, small enough for me to fill it with air once a month

5eat downshift rev match:)

Powder coated wheels: completed:)

I have the same wheel but it's for the Forester fitment 18x8. It does clear Brembos.

Rommel: you sent me pictures of your Forester with the 18's on it:

That's ONE HOT Forester...

If I had found a blue new 08 one with MT I would have bought it, but...

Thanks for posting the pics Graham.

Those are the 18x8's in that above photo? I thought they only came in 18x7.5 and am I able to get them in the states?

18x8 are made for the Forester but it should fit the Legacy as well.

You can only get it from Japan. I bought mine from japanparts through GW. Great people to deal with.

What do they retail for on Japan Parts? It's about $425/each, right? It's high compared to say, RPF1's or something similar in weight but, for the unique factor it almost makes it worth it. Then again, how badly does shipping rape you?

I think I paid around $1600 shipped from japanparts about 2 years ago.

The US$ isn't worth what it was, but less than $2K shipped anywhere would be a ballpark figure at the current x-change

Running these through our Site: you can click on the shopping cart icon next to the Wheels, choose your delivery destination + checkout ( there's no obligation to buy ) + that will give you the freight to any destination

We've always got these....

JapanParts has these 17x7.5 5x100 55mm offset for $2000 CDN, $320 CDN Shipping

SGP.com has the 17x7 5x100 48mm offset for $1500 CDN.

As much as I'd like a wider tire, I can't see myself putting an extra $500 down to get 0.5" wider wheels....

I'll continue to check SubaruForester.org in the mean time..

Whaddyas think?

it's all up to you, most people tend to go to a wider wheel when upgrading to aftermarket wheels since it allows them to increase tire width as well. otherwise at 17x7 you're still at stock size with nothing gained theoretically, aside from good looks ;) but i can't blame you, the sti enkei wheels are a good looking wheel
